Will1 small bite of red jello before a colonoscopy mess up your scan?
I wasn’t paying attention to the color of the jello i was eating the day before my colonoscopy, when i bit into it i realized it was the wrong kind (red) and spit it up. I believe i swallowed a little piece of the jello, and im worried that i may throw my exam off…. Should i reschedule or will I be fine?

Tell your doctor. It’s up to him/her when he wants to do the scan.
it is not advised to eat any red colored foods, including red jello, before a colonoscopy, because it could be seen as bleeding,in the intestines. when you are not. but i don’t think one small bite of red jello will be seen.
One little bite today should not effect it as you most likely will have passed it by tomorrow. Don’t try for a complete serving and BTW root beer is off limits as it to has red dye.
