why was there a large amount of semi-liquid stool found in my cecum?
I had a bowel prep for a colonoscopy and my stool came back clear, however when i had the colonoscopy there was a lot of semi-liquid stool in the ascending colon and the cecum. Do you have any thoughts on what this could mean?

It sounds like you may have not have been as clear as you thought you were. I have experienced a similar result though it wasn’t a lot of semi-liquid stool more like particles of stool. The doctor injected some water and drew it back out to remove the residue.
It doesn’t mean anything other than the prep wasn’t perfect, as long as the doctor could see it doesn’t matter.
