Why does my Belly Button have stinky discharge?
Usually around my menstrual cycle, I’ve noticed crusted discharge around the rim of my belly button. So I would clean it away or shower and it would be fine but it would smell of feces (poop). I know it’s located outside of my intestines, but they’re not attached. So, why do I have this problem? & How can I fix this problem?
thanks.

Oprah had Dr. Oz on as a guest and a woman from the audience explained she had the same problem and this is what Dr. Oz explained, there is tissue on the inside (in the body) left over that is attached to the belly button from birth. He described it almost like a cyst because that tissue gets infected, and he said it can slowly leak through your belly button. He didn’t say what the procedure was, but he says there is a very simple procedure that a Dr can perform to correct it.
So I would go get that checked out, he said it is fairly common among females.
Good Luck!
Yuck. Maybe you have a yeast infection. Take more baths and use lots of soap. If it continues see a doctor.
if your bellybutton is pierced it could be an allergic reaction to they metal in the ring, but that normally smells kinda like cheese.(fairly common.)
