Why does my 2-year-old have 8-10 small bowel movements per day?
She seems to have very little awareness of them, making potty training very difficult. And now she has a very painful, bloody diaper rash! She is extremely strong willed so we have considered that maybe it is behavioral. So we’ve backed off on the potty training. She does have a new baby brother but he’s 5 months old and this problem started about a month ago. Nothing has changed significantly in her diet. Any helpful advice would be appreciated!

it sounds like she possibly had a painful bowel movement and is now afraid to push..she is probably holding it in and only lets small amounts out at a time when she just can’t help it…she probably has some constipation that also makes it hard to push…I have the exact same problem with my three year old….I stopped the potty training all together and started making sure that I gave him lots of fruits and vegetables…lots of water also..if this doesn’t help her poop to soften then just use an over the counter stool softener….after she has learned that it will not hurt her to poop then start trying to train her again.
take him 2 the doctor ma u kno that
