		<description>As a doctor, its actually because what the expectant mother takes will enter the unborn babies system too and they would be very harmful to the baby, Opiod medication would probably make a good alternative. Also yes the muscular contractions can trigger premature labour if the baby is over 28 weeks along.</description>

		<description>The colon is awfully close to the birth canal and uterus. Cleaning it out may be harmful do the fetus. Try asking a doctor, since I don&#039;t know for sure.</description>

Laxatives stimulate the muscles of the body to contract, which means it could have the same effect on your reproductive system, causing you to go into early labour, which is obviously dangerous and something you don&#039;t want to happen.</description>
