Whats the best detox/colon cleansing product out there?
As most of us know, detoxing is an amazing way of cleansing the body. I know theres soo many products out there that promise you these great results, but do they work? I’m currently researching bout detoxing systems and how the body benefits from it. I’d like to know whether you’ve tried a product & what your results were before & after using it. Did you have weight gain, over-sweating, body odor, bad skin, or hair loss? What would you say is the best product?
Was the product costly or was it a good bargain?
If you could provide a link to the site of a product, please do so.

"Detoxing" in terms of Alt Med quackery is a dangerous and pointless activity. It has NO health benefits and a number of serious risks. Don’t waste your time and money on it or risk your health.
There’s only one cleanse I will do – It’s called The Master Cleanse. It’s not a product, it’s a method and it’s cheap.

I’ve done it three times (starting number three tomorrow) because I’m allergic to wheat and occasionally slip or have ingredients slipped in on me and the only way out… well this works very well. It is very difficult to do because it takes 10 -14 days. However, it is much easier on your body then the chemical garbage that is out there. The first three days are a bit rough, especially if you do the salt flush, but after that, my energy level goes through the roof, I feel wonderful! Doing it during the winter, I will have drier than normal skin around day 8 or so.
There is a lot of information about the cleanse out there. Keep it simple!
I’ve only used detox products to pass drug tests. I noticed I did have more energy when I used them.
‘Detoxing’ is an unsubstantiated theory, it doesn’t work and in fact was another of these made up hoaxes invented to sell diet books and products in the early nineties.
NO product can ‘detox’ you, that’s what your body does naturally. Colon cleansing comes from an old fashioned belief that food was absorbed through your colon, clearly something that we now know to be wrong.
Wikipedia have a good description of colon cleansing here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colon_cleansing
Unfortunately in recent years, the growth of colon cleansing products are similar to the acai scams that have been going around; there’s a lot of money to be made by selling watery herbal preparations for lots of cash as well as signing people up to unwanted recurring credit card agreements etc. Search the web for acai scam and have a look yourself.
The Wiki link also gives you an idea of the real danger that colon cleansing carries with it.
Edit: Medviv7 has unfortunately been taken in by one of the many websites out there that exist to con the unwary. From her link:
"Did you know that unhealthy colon is the cause of the majority of illnesses?"
Obviously an absolutely ridiculous and insane statement to say that over half of all diseases come from your colon!!
I agree that you need to do your research before embarking on any detox program. There are so many products and programs without any value, that’s true. But to dismiss detox obviously without knowing anything about it is rather arrogant.
Colonics have been used for ages, even by medical profession. You can see the results immediately! You feel lighter, obviously, skin clears up, swelling goes away, it also shortens duration of a febrile disease! If it was used more, there would be far less degenerative diseases and far more healthy and happy people.

As most of us really know, the large intestine does not need colonics and detox since it does its job very well. The colon is where the last of the water is absorbed before the remnants of the meals you ate are excreted as feces. The colon is a well balanced ecosystem with its own bacteria (the good bacteria). Doing colon cleansing could wipe out the bacteria and cause electrolyte imbalance.
