What pains does Irritable bowel syndrome cause?
I have recently been diagnosed with IBS, I went to the doctor complaining of groin pain and abdomen pain, I then had an x-ray. He said he could not find anything and I had allot of gas, my mother has IBS which also gave him the idea of IBS, and that is why I have pain in my groin also, could my IBS also cause pain in my testicles and penis do to gas pressure?

I don’t know if it can cause the genital pain you are referring to but it usually causes change in bowel habits (diarrhea, constipation), nausea, gas, abdominal pain and cramping.
What typically causes the type of pain you’re describing, when IBS is involved, is to put it simply, trouble on the toilet.
You may be pushing a lot, or "flexing your ‘butt muscles"’, when you use the bathroom due to the symptoms of IBS. There are a couple of muscles around your butt (including the ‘PC muscle’) that are actually the same muscles that control things in your genitals as well. So it’s actually NOT unheard of to injure these muscles if you are having really bad "going problems"…
I suggest you go back to the doctor, tell them you’re having these additional problems, and follow their treatment. And there are very simple treatments available, but I want you to go back to the doctor, so… Here’s to feeling better soon, take care.
