What is a small bowel erosion?
I had a colonoscopy done and the doctor found an erosion in my small bowel (intestine). They biopsied and it came back normal, but I still have to have a capsule endoscopy done to confirm nothing is wrong. My doctor wasn’t too clear about what an erosion could mean and I can’t find much on the internet….does anyone have any insight?

I just had the same diagnosis. They found erosions in my small intestine- they thought I might have Crohn’s but when they biopsied it came back normal. I wish I knew what could be causing this so I can prevent further damage. I was wondering if maybe a food allergy? Not sure and would love some insight.
I also had colonoscopy today and was found small erosions in trasverse colon and aphthous erosions of uncertain clinical significance. The specialist says it could represent subclinical Crohn’s disease. Can anyone tell me how to prevent further damage?
Thank you kindly
