What does it mean when you poo a large amount?
I know it sounds stupid but I keep trying to look this up everywhere and its like I’m the only person to have experienced this! Its a normal excretion, like I don’t have stomach pains or anything, I just know I have to go, and then I go and I’m getting ready to wipe and its like I had like 5-10 pounds in me. I don’t mean to be graphic but its like not even in the water anymore sometimes.
I’m just curious as to what it means! I’ve been on a gluten free diet btw, and eating healthy with this diet so I’m not sure if maybe my intestines are cleaning themselves out? IDK! I hope someone can help me understand!

Adding to most of the answers ur giving me, I actually don’t eat much at all, due to my gluten allergy! None of its painful either, its just normal, but a lot of it! I’m not complaining, it just seemed weird to me because I don’t eat like normal people lol

OMG I am seeing a trend here – the end of times is here.
It means that you have obviously eaten too much.
1. Maybe you didn’t go for a while
2. Maybe you ate a LOT more than you thought
Edit: I would encourage you to eat plenty of fiber (25 grams a day). I would tell you what happened to me, but the Internet is not the place for this discussion.
Just take my word. There’s merit to that saying "An apple a day keeps the doctor away"!
It means you eat in large amounts.
i hate you.
only because i envy you.
the most fun pregnancy side effect, besides my lovely morning sickness all day 24/7, is constipation.
i wouldn’t worry and think something is wrong.
you are just a very regular person.
enjoy it, seriously.
haha

Its nothing. I would not be worried because you are pooing too much! I would be worried if you werent pooing at all, believe me. It varies from person to person how often you go. Some people go 3 times a day and some go twice a week! And the amount you do actually does varies also. Just so long as your poo is not pebbley or runny or dry looking then I think you are totally fine!
The amount you go varies between person to person. I always do large amounts, but I only go once every two days (I go every other day)… if it at all changes I know something is unusual (food didn’t agree or maybe I am getting sick). Since, for example, I only go once every other day the amount does tend to be rather large (hate to admit but theres lots of times I have to double flush cause theres soo much it wont all go down).
Then my hubby, hes had stomach problems for years. Even though he is over it, he still admits he does very little amounts, and often goes multiple times during the day.
Don’t worry about it. When I was still with my mom, I remember she had to have a Colonoscopy, so therefore she had to have her bowels completely flushed out. She checked her weight before and after she took the medicine to flush her out, and she lost around 10 pounds total. So, depending on your age, body size, etc you have about 10ish pounds of poo in you, and (like I mentioned about me) we all go at different times. Your diet, your health, and your body all make up how the process goes for you.
Go see a doctor to be sure. It’s not its not severe you tolerate it.
Be sure that your metabolism’s okay. You dont know.It would complicate.
