What can I take to do a quick clean-out of my stomach and intestines?
I gained 20 lbs for a role in an indie movie but now I have a fat gut and large stomach. What can I take to COMPLETELY flush out my stomach and bowels? Anything I can buy at the drug store? I think I’ll need something strong. I need to move my bowels and remove all the garbage in my stomach.

For that really uncomfortable feeling you can use Metamucil (which is OK for the elderly to use, so fairly safe), or you can get Senna-pod tea/products from a health food store.
Other than that, you will feel like a whole new person once you’ve moved the blockage and have started eating healthy food again!
We do the most terrible things to our intestines – which are soft and can tear, if we abuse them – and then get upset when we get stomach aches, ulcers etc! Don’t do it, please please don’t! If you can find the finest piece of silk and hold it up to the light, you’ll see a piece of our intestine – and we put into them such abrasive products and wonder why everyone we know has irritable bowel syndrome or cramps . . .
A great digestive system is a GIFT – so give yourself a good clean out, and then water water and more water, and roughage (brown breads etc) veggies, fruit and gym, and you’re good to go!!
there is a tea name zendo with no caffeine all natural. when i take it, it makes me go to the bathroom right away. it id very good after you feel very clean inside. they sell it in walmart cvs rhide aide.
castor oil in hot water or coffee ; can also try liquid paraffin
I used a clear liquid diet for 2 days and lost nearly 10 lbs. I was still getting nutrients with my vitamins and did not take anything over the counter to cause a "clean out".
I’ll paste information from a website that discusses clear liquid diets more fully:
http://www.gastromd.com/diets/clearliquid.html
Need for the diet:
The clear liquid diet is a temporary diet that is used in several different settings.
Preparation for surgery and medical tests such as sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, and other x-rays or tests that require little food in the stomach and intestines.
When someone has been unable to eat any food for several days or after surgery.
The clear liquid diet helps to keep you hydrated (body fluids, salts and minerals) and helps to get the body used to food after long periods of time without food. The clear liquid diet is easy to digest and does not leave much residue in the stomach and intestines.
Important Considerations:
If you experience abdominal discomfort such as cramps or pain, contact your doctor or nurse as soon as possible.
The clear liquid diet does not provide enough energy, protein and many other nutrients. This diet is temporary and should not be used for more than 5 days. If you are on this diet for more than 5 days, your doctor and/or dietitian will tell you which supplement to use.
The amount of liquid that you drink or eat on this diet may be important. If your doctor sets a limit about the amount, follow those directions carefully.
How to choose the clear liquid diet:
Liquids that you can see through at room temperature (about 78-72 degrees Fahrenheit are considered clear liquids. This includes clear juices, broths, hard candy, ices and gelatin. The table below will help you with your choices.
Choose these foods / beverages:
Clear fruit juices without pulp such as apple juice, grape juice, cranberry juice, Broth, bouillon, fat free consommé, Coffee, tea (hot or cold), Kool-Aid, soda, water, lactose free supplements if recommended by your doctor, Fruit ices (without chunks of fruit), plain gelatin, clear hard candy, popsicle made from clear juices.
Don’t choose these foods/beverages:
Nectars, canned, fresh, or frozen fruits, Cream soups, soups with vegetables, noodles, rice, meat or other chunks of food in them, Vegetables, milk and dairy products, Bread, cereals and grain products, Meat, Chicken, Fish, and meat substitutes (nuts, tofu, etc), Oils, butter, margarine
Sample menu:
Breakfast Hot tea with lemon juice and 1 tsp sugar (no pulp); Apple juice (8 oz); Gelatin 1 cup
Lunch Hot tea with lemon (no pulp) and sugar; Grape juice (8 oz); Fruit Ice (1 cup); Consommé (8 oz.)
Snack Fruit juice (apple, cranberry or grape, 8 oz); Gelatin (1 cup)
Dinner Hot tea with lemon and sugar; Apple juice (8 oz); Consommé (8 oz); Fruit Ice (1 cup)
This diet contains approximately 1000 calories, 1 g fat and 14 grams of protein.
use a laxative. thats it.. but not too often. take natural foods so that they have inherent quality in cleaning intestines.
Drink tons of water and eat a lot of fiber.
Ginger does it for me.
