Upper GI and small bowel series?

I’m supposed to have an upper GI and small bowel series done in two weeks, but my doctor didn’t really explain the procedure to me. Can anyone tell me what these tests involve?

Here is a good site to explain it to you better than I can. I had one and it was not painful at all. I was asleep. The cleaning out is not good but stay close to the toilet. They can tell if you have the bacteria that causes ulcers too and give you antibiodics to clear that up if needed. It is one of the easier tests to have.
