Well my 32 year old brother-in-law just got diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer ; / and I’m just completely depressed… My sister just married him about four years ago and they have a one year old daughter and a 2 year old son. They just took out a 600k loan to buy a commercial property so financially they are in a difficult situation as well. It just breaks my heart knowing that there’s such a high chance they will never see their father when they are older and that my bro-in-law mightn’t see his children grow up…… Also, if anyone has tried effective alternative treatments besides just the conventional methods please inform me if you can and your recovery stories would be nice as well. Thanks guys.
Experimental Cancer Treatment?
I’m 22 years old, to some this may seem dumb, but I need to try everything. But you never know if someone out there knows of a good experimental treatment that has high counts of success.
My mom has been battling cancer off and on. It started in my freshmen year with stage 4-colon cancer. 7 years later it has spread into different organs but she has been able to concur the problem at times, and even went into remission. She has been in remission for almost a year, and about three months ago she found out the cancer had spread to her liver. After of having been on several different forms of chemotherapy, including being on the pump, the doctors had her try the one last form of chemo they could think of to battle the cancer. After 2 months the doctors said the treatment hadn’t helped her at all.
After consulting with several doctors they seem to feel that they have no treatments left to try on my mom to fight off the cancer and the only option was experimental drugs.
Has anyone heard of any experimental drugs having high success? If she doesn’t find one that does they’re not sure how much longer she could fight off the cancer.
Thank You
My father has stage 4 colon cancer that has traveled to the liver and lungs. I am trying to stay optimistic as he is about to begin treatments however on a more realistic side what are the chances of containing and shrinking these tumors?? My father has a very good attitude and wants to beat this disease he is 59 years old..
I have an aunt who has stage 4 colon cancer and started out w/ 7500 markers? then after the original tumor was removed (metastases in liver and lungs) it was 2500; now after 4 mos of a chemo treatment she has 4500 and has to start a new chemo. What does this all mean? What is a high protein marker count and what is low? And what are they?
My mom was diagnosed w/ stage 4 colon cancer in May 2007 she went though 2 yrs of chemo and just recently under went radiation to a tumor that has broke through her skin. It is located in her abdomen and is coming out of her navel. Please tell me with your best guess how much time we have left with her. Her liver and lungs are clear no signs of cancer there. Thank you
Can you give me some foods that help fight it and some foods we should avoid. Thanks.
Well my brother-in-law is currently battling stage 4 colon cancer and is on chemotherapy. He has loss of appetite, dry mouth, nausau, and vomiting.
My grandma just found out she has stage 4 colon cancer. Have you or anyone you know had stage 4 colon cancer and know the survival rates?
Other than the cancer she is failry healthy.
Thanks!
My best friend has stage 4 colon cancer. She’s only 24 years old. She told me that they are going to start radiation, what does that mean? I read about how they do it, but how bad does it have to be before they do radiation?
