I am getting pains in my rectal area which can radiate to my testicles and penis. It usually occurs about 30 minutes after a bowel movement and can last anything from 30 minutes to many hours.
I am awaiting an endoscopy as I was having discomfort in my oesaphagus, and I’ve been taking Zoton 30mg for the last few months which, stops that discomfort, so long as I keep taking it. I believe I have acid reflux but there is the small possibility of an ulcer too.
The rectal pain, feels like it’s in my colon/rectum/anus area mainly. It’s quite a burn like pain. Very hot feeling. I’ve been thinking it may be a fissure or hemmoroids? Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

I sometimes feel as though something is crawling around inside my rectal area. What is this? On a daily basis it constantly feel like Im tightening my rectal muscles and I have to consciously try to release the tightening of that muscle and not do it. Then it feels so much better but as soon as stop concentrating on not doing I later realize I have been doing it again. I had colon polyps removed 6 years ago. Ima 29 year old female. I havent had anal bleeding since but I did alot during my pregnancy, mixed with mucous. Sometimes, I feel shooting pain in my anal area. I know I had been diagnosed with diverticulosis or something like that during the time the polyps were removed. But sometimes I can be very still and it feels like something wiggling aroundmy rectum and trying to come out, or trying to go back in. I also have tail bone pain that actually can be seen and felt in my lower back. Im a 29 yr old female. Why and What is going on?

I am 20 year old male and sometimes when i get the urge of getting a bowel movement, I sometimes get a sort of spasm like sensation coming from my rectal area…its not exactly a pain, but its a sensation that feels like its sucking in and like a needle prick like at the same time from within…the spasm lasts only like 3 seconds and once i defecate everything is fine.. Is this cause of concern or Is this just normal nerve response from the urge to defecate ?

My aunt has had severe crohns for about 5 years now. She has done all she could to avoid having surgery. Up until recently all the doctors had said she should get a colostomy bag and allow her rectal area to heal. She has several fistulas and a lot of scar tissue near her rectum. It has gotten so bad now that the doctors say, it would be best to remove her rectum and mostly all of her large intestine. She has been on imuran and remicade. They said they can not remove the scar tissue from her anal area, because it would leave her incontinent. Does diseased tissue have any chance at all to heal? I dont understand why they dont even try to do a reversible surgery? Why does such a drastic surgery have to be done? From what I have read, it sounds like, she will be in less pain though. No woman wants to have something like this done. It is just awful.
They said they can’t remove the scar tissue from her anal area because it would leave her incontinent. I think she should get a second opinion from another expert also.

Sporadically pain shots to my rectal area with feelings close to cramping. I am 7 months pregnant…………..has anyone else felt this dicomfort?

I have been having pain around my rectal area for the past few days. At first I thought that it might be hemorrhoids that I caught early, as there was nothing protruding from the rectum. So I bought hemorrhoidal suppositories and external creme and have been using it. This morning I felt a lot better, but then as the day went on and I went to work and stood for a long period of time the pain worsened. It feels more like my anal cavity is bruised. I am not sure if it is hemorrhoids, or if it could be something else. I’m sorry if I have given too much information, I don’t want to gross anyone out.
I really appreciate all of your help. I have not had any bleeding. However, doesn’t a rectal exam hurt?

Why do I get rectal pain during my period? Sometimes it is very sharp and stabbing like a sharp knife trying to come out of my rectal area, and other times is is just a whole, whole massive amount of dull presure on my rectal area. My doctor has scheduled a colonoscopy in October, but it is a couple weeks away and I am very very nervous, any ideas what it could be?
p.s. I also have a lot of pain with intercourse, my husband is very patient but we have been unable to figure out what is causing the pain.

I feel really really bad pain in my rectal area and it radiates till anus during menstrual period. It has been there since 8 years. I dont know what to do with this because 5 years back I fainted because of that intense pain. It is not continuous. It occurs 5-8 times in a day, more during 1st 3days and diminishes on 4th day of menses. I am scared if it is related to some rectal or colonic pathology?

I hurt my back acouple of months ago, the back pain is better but I am having pain in the rectal area, constipation,and it feels a little swollen. Could this be associated with me hurting my back?
