I’m 23 year old young man who just got his yearly check up 2 weeks ago, and was told i was really healthy. A week later I started getting bad abdominal pain, this made me worry when it didn’t subside after bowel movements. I lost 11 pounds in 5 days. I had no blood in my urine, and my blood test come back showing normal levels in white blood cells, and nothing wrong with my liver or kidneys. The doctor treated me for a parasite. Over the past couple days i have gained 2 pounds and my stool has had little black specks in it (almost pepper like) I have read this happens when the parasites are being cleansed from the body. Should the weight come back slowly like a 1/10 of pound here and there or should i re-gain the pounds in a couple days?
I had my daughter 2 years ago got up to 211 from 125lbs never had a problem with my weight could eat anthing my heart desired and never gained weight now that i haven’t been able to loose weight with any diet pill, program, exercise, not to mention every test that could be ran by my primary dr has been ran and all normal, I was recommende to go see a homeapathic dr that told me my liver was backed up, my colon was backed up there was something going on with my small instestine- lrg intestine "parasites" ewww! my kiddneys were dehydrated and so on i have recently stoped eating meat i never really cared for it and just decided to stop eating it all together so i eat subs with all veges i love pasta and she tells me im eating stuff that i shouldn’t that i need to go on a blood type diet im 0+
that consist of eating meat no bread no strawberrys no pasta all ther things i love except the meat the type o diet is rediculus wxspecially when my husband is a+ and i have a 2year old! So what im really trying to get at is do you think that the blood type diet works or if i just eat the right things at portion control would be just as good?
I’m going to go on a water detox. I’ll drink nothing but water for the next 5 days. It’s just to cleanse my colon (I heard that lots of people have parasites there, so I’m trying to "clean out"), and to flush out toxins. I’m NOT doing this for weight loss though. I don’t plan on doing heavy exercise. I’m just going to take my dog on his normal 20 minute walk around the block everyday. ***Is it possible that I will pass out (that’s what I’m worried about.)*** Other than that, I WILL do the detox no matter what. (and don’t tell me this isn’t safe or anything. Every doctor has their own opinion on it. And you have your own.)
So I was doing some online research and was very close to purchasing a colon cleanse kit. However, I found a lot of information stating that a healthy diet and lots of fiber is all humans need to get the movements going as the colon is a self-cleansing organ AND that colon cleansing can flush out the beneficial bacteria and cause dehydration. So I’ve opted to up the fiber and drink more water. I go at least twice a day, so I don’t think I have a problem. I will leave my colon alone and continue to take probiotics.
My first question is this: Should I do a parasite cleanse? I haven’t tested positive for parasites, but I read that you can have parasites and not know it and that a parasite cleanse should be done once a year. I read that humans can pick up parasites just about anywhere, so is a yearly parasite cleanse necessary for maintenace/prevention?
As for the second question: Is a detox really necessary, or should a drastic change in diet and supplements do the trick? I saw a nutritionist who wants me to go totally organic with fruits and meats (I agree with the meats), but I can’t afford totally organic with produce as my budget doesn’t allow for it. Plus,I live in LA and am exposed to toxic air every day. The whole "detox" and "organic only" craze has me confused. If I thorougly wash my conventionally grown fruits and veggies, is that good enough to was away pesticides, bacteria, and parasites?
Has anyone ever actually used Colon Cleanse or something like it? Does it really make you have nasty things come out of you??? I am a big health nut and want to detox, but I’m sketical about these colon clease sites claiming that parasites are in you. Has anyone really done this?
I have been experiencing bad bloating after eating as well as stomach pain under my ribs. I am very uncomfortable and often have muscle issues with my back in particular. I believed to have had gallstones but I went to the ER yesterday and had an ultra-sound which showed nothing. I did not get to talk to a doctor because the free clinic sucks. I do not have insurance. The doctor at another clinic emailed his results and a nurse read them to me saying that he believed it is either an Ulcer or Acid Reflux.
Today I woke up and passed a bowel movement which looks very different than I have ever had before. I researched the white stringy substance attached to my bowel and it appears that I have a parasite??
I have noticed that several of the symptoms are similar between ulcers/acid reflux and parasites, but wouldn’t the ultra-sound have shown that I have worms?
They want me to go do an x-ray for ulcers but again I don’t have insurance and my last hospital visit lasted 12 hours and I never spoke to a doctor.
So here’s my 3 questions. 1. Does this sound like a parasite? 2. Why wouldn’t it have shown up in my ultra-sound. 3. What should I do now? Can I just take an over-the-counter colon cleanse?
I suffer from IBS and I feel that’s why I have alot of weight issues. I am 36 and have had three children, but it just seems like my weight keeps climbing. I’ve tried adding fiber to my diet as the doctor suggested but that doesn’t always work. I’ve been using a product called Dr. Natura as a natural colon cleansing system which has provided me with some interesting results. I have so far lost 9.5 lbs. in a two week period. Not bad but this product is expensive and I don’t want to have to use something forever. I also don’t know how safe it is to continue to use a product like this. (It’s a three part system, which includes capsules you take to kill the parasites, a powder you mix in juice (the fiber part), and a detoxifier tea).
I think I may have a parasite. I found this article on doing a detox to get rid of them. Has anyone ever tried this or think this will actually work? Thanx.

Can anyone give advise on parasites that people can get? Have you ever used one of those colon cleanses that are either advertised on t.v. or sold in health and vitamin stores? Would you advise being tested for parasites by a doctor and then using a medication or are the herbal remedies just as effective? I have had a lot of strange but subtle health issues lately and the doctor can find nothing wrong with me. I am just wondering if there is anything to this colon cleansing stuff and if it is worth doing.
I was wondering how to do a full body cleanse. I bought some Oxy Powder for my colon; a dry skin brush and some Aztec clay and apple cider vinegar for a full body clay mask for my skin; and some detox foot pads to wear at night. I’m going to eat only fruit and veggies for about 2 weeks and than 2 weeks on juice followed by 1 week of pure water. What other products should I use to cleanse?
But what about cleansing for other things such as my kidneys, liver/gallbladder, and for candida, and parasites? Should I do this during my fasting/ colon detox or wait a few weeks in between. And what products to use?
I don’t want to have to be checked for worms or parasites by the doctor because then my parents would have to know about the appointment because I do not have a driver’s license and they would have to drive me. I know they’ll find out, but I don’t want my parents to know immediately. Will increasing my fiber intake and making more frequent bowel movements cleanse me free from parasites? Also, how are intestinal worms or parasites so harmful? Are they really that bad?
I don’t want my parents to know because I’m embarrassed and I want to handle it on my own, not because they’ll get mad. I don’t want to have to have a doctor look at my asshole, I can’t even look at it myself.
I was doing some research on health and cam across colon cleansing. They said that some times people have parasites and do not even know it. Parasites like tapeworms, roudworms, whipworms Has anyone experienced this, if so please tell me of the pros and cons.
There is no doubt that fasting is beneficial, as I’ve tried it myself. But does the body actually "purge" itself of toxins as we have been told? Are they flushed out of tissues and dumped into the bloodstream? Where do they go? What percentages are excreted from the skin? The bowel? The lungs? The sinuses? Is it even measurable? Are there examples of blood chemistry before, during and after a long fast? Is the blood full of stress-related chemicals before the fast? Does the blood become "dirty" with toxins and perhaps microbes/parasites/pathogens during the cleansing stage (when we experience the headaches, chills, fever, nausea, etc)? Does the blood become "clean" again after the fast has ended? Most importantly, where has this all been proven? Everyone has an opinion, but I’m interested in knowing where I can find the FACTS.
Definitions of fasts:
Dry Fasting: No food, no liquid. Very challenging and requires close supervision. Obviously not for extended periods, but a powerful type of fast (supposedly).
Water Fasting: No food, only purified water. Also very challenging. Produces hard and fast cleansing but also causes very intense side effects. For more experienced fasters.
Juice fasting: Pure fresh fruit juices and purified water. Provides nutrients in a pre-digested format, yet allows digestive system to rest and heal. High-energy fast that does not require faster to conserve energy (quite the opposite…you take stairs two at a time!). Side effects are mild.
I’ll trust personal experience over inexperienced "professional opinion" any day. As I said, EVERYONE has an opinion…even doctors. I’m just interested in what has been proven. No conclusions necessary. Just raw data.
I am on day eight of the Master Cleanse (aka The Lemonaid Diet), and I really want to flush out any accumulated toxins and parasites. But so far, my bowel movements are all clear: no parasites or "strange, dark solids." Has anyone gone on this detox regimin and not had any parasites?
I am following the book faithfully (64 oz of the lemonaid mixture, senna leaf tea, and salt water flushes), and have about 2-3 liquid movements a day. It is my first time cleansing, and I really wanted it to be a cleansing! I also do not feel like I have the amazing energy they say I should. Could it be that it might take longer for me? Has this ever happened to anyone else?
Please let me know.
.
a human of parasites without going to physicians office. besides all of these expensive colon cleansers? please also advise of a diet for humans with parasites
I would prefer one that also gets rid of parasites, even if it entails something from health food store
Are there really parasites and toxic debris in the colons of most Americans due to our diets?
I’m not sure which one to get, I’m not sure which one is a scam and which isn’t. I want one that can get rid of parasites and whatever else is in there. I thought about http://www.thelifetree.com/productkits.htm but I’m not sure if it’s a scam
Jonnerz, no need to be rude. Just because you don’t believe in something doesn’t mean you should be a dick about it.
I just did the liver cleanse by Dr. Hulda Clark. There were no complications, but the morning after I did the cleanse, I couldn’t identify any stones in the bowel movement. Could someone experienced tell me a possible problem scenario? Im not exactly sure WHY I didnt get any stones out.
Janet,
I spent over building the zapper which is suppossed to eliminate parasites before doing a liver cleanse. I also had dental work done before the cleanse. I understood that Hulda Clarks liver cleanse recipe was a "true cleanse", and it was also recommended by one of my doctors. I attempted to cleanse to eliminate my shoulder pain, and to eliminate my allergies as well. I also work in a natural foods store, and I heard her cleanse is very effective. I’m not certain of the problem.

To: vwtdi:
I do have a lot of energy considering that I am only drinking the lemonade mixture, saltwater in the am, and senna leaf tea at night. It just isn’t what I thought it would be. I get a lot more energy after drinking a full bottle of Synergy Kombucha, for sure!
The detoxing is great, though. I have used other detoxes before, but this one–so far–has more detox symptoms (yucky tounge, backache on day four, etc), so I feel like it works better.
I don’t know how much weight I’ve lost. I don’t own a scale, and I’m not doing it for weight loss. But I feel lighter on the inside (if that makes ANY sense), so I think you’d like it. I cannot imagine eating only 500 cals a day and NOT losing weight, so you might have success with that.
Good luck!
Yes, it is! Here’s how you do it (keeping in mind that this cannot, legally, be taken as medical advice since only a medical doctor can prescribe such a thing):
Natural, organic raw foods. Make sure the meat you eat is free range, organic, and without any preservatives.
Astaxanthin. 16-20mg per day, or to bowel tolerance.
High amounts of calcium, potassium, boron, and magnesium. Coral calcium is good for this.
Vitamin C to bowel tolerance.
Do all the cleanses (kidney, liver, colon, parasites, candida, heavy metal, full body fat cleanse)
There you have it. If you have receding gums, you can now shock your dentist in just a few months or even weeks.
Keep in mind that the body has the ability to repair itself. It can reverse any degenerative disease if we just give it the nutrients it needs and get rid of the stuff it doesn’t like (toxins). You’d be amazed at how powerful the body is at repairing itself.
And yes, I meant reverse. Gum tissue can grow back.
i mean surely if were all running around with parasites and all this plaque in our bowels we’d all be ill.
what about possible parasites? I went to Mexico and my stomach has been very loud/noisy for a month.
I’ve heard various opinions of detoxifying your body by doing a colon cleansing…this apparently rids the body of parasites that prevent you from staying healthy and losing weight…If this really is a good thing, where can I find a trust-worthy regimen for this?
Can they help kill off parasites and yeast too?
