Hello there
I work in a fast food place so often I am stuck eating the food. Fatty fries, garlic bread burgers stuff like that…hard on the stomach-i know. But I find that more and more often I have stomach aches, upset stomach, nausea, heartburn..ect. I am also not very regular.

I live near a rly rly good natural vitamin store. They have anything imaginable. Would a body detox/cleanse or colon cleanse be a good idea. Then should I continue with occasional probiotics. I know I will also have to change my diet as well..but is this a good start?
and a special thanks to the person below that typed a random letter just to get the points. awesome your just so mature! thanks for your help..

i get nauseous regularly, maybe a couple days a week ill have a few minute phase and then it goes away [almost always at night.] this has been happening since i last vomited in june, before i didnt have that feeling [i think its partially due to the fact that i am severely afraid of throwing up.] i also have extremely varying stools, maybe once a month ill try to go to the bathroom and a bit of mucus comes out instead, and once or twice before ive had pencil stools. andd other than that i get different [but considered normal] stools, and my diet is diverse so im pretty sure thats why. i dont bleed when i go to the bathroom nor is it painful.my grandfather had colon cancer but he was a heavy drinker/smoker. im 14, female, and have had my period for 2.5 years. im a vegetarian and i dance about 10 hours a week, though i got a fracture one month ago so i havent been able to properly exercise since then. i know that its rare for young people but the awkward stools/nausea for the past few months has started to worry me. thank you for any advice i really appreciate it, i dont want to get a colonoscopy or something :/

I know there are many different brands, so please include that name of the one you tried.

What did they really do for you?
Did you just go to the bathroom a lot? If so, was it so much that it was a problem in daily life?
Did you have stomach cramps?
Did it cause diarrhea or nausea?
Did you really pass anything weird like in some of the photos they have at the sites?
Did you feel better? If so, was it within a few days or immediately?
How long did you take it?
How did you feel when you stopped taking it?
Did you change your diet with it and if so, was it a diet plan?
Do you have any health problems like I.B.S. or spastic colon or chronic bloating or chronic constipation and how did it affect you?

Please include everything you can think of. I’m not really interested in these for weight loss, though that would be a benefit, but to see if any of them improve how I feel overall.

Thanks to everyone that replies with a good, honest, helpful answer.

Say you had a symptom of colon cancer maybe 4 years ago, but then 4 years later you feel fine, energetic and still feel good and healthy even after hard days labor, have a good appetite, no nausea or fatigue, etc and still have the same normal weight is it a good chance that you dont really have the cancer? Or would the symptoms actually get worse if you really had the cancer? Reason i ask is because 4 years ago i saw blood in my stool ( which i did go to the doctor and it turns out i have a pilondial cyst which bleeds periodically) I was 18 at the time and now im 22, and even tho i went to the doctor I was still so scared about this, he assured me i was fine, but since im pessimistic it still has been in the back of my mind for the past 4 years that I think about it all the time. Since then iv become obsessed witht he consistancy and frequency of bowel movements etc, and have also become more anxious and nervous ever since. Physically i have no other symptoms and I havent really had anything else aside from occasional gas, etc but nothing persistant. I did a colon cleansing and that seemed to work and increased my bowel frequency. Lately though iv been very nervous and my bowel movements though normal, feel like htey are smaller than usual when i go. Is this cause of my nervousness? Iv been to the doctor and he says its just in my head because i think about it all the time, but i still say that ever since i seen the blood in my stool, even though the pilondial cyst was doing it, I still get worried. Physically i feel fine. I work a physically gruelling job 40 hours a week, sometimes 9 hours a day and i have alot of energy, I eat alot, and my weight has been the same since i can remember, the only thing is that I get extremely anxious and nervous and i still cant seem to stop worrying. I figure that if i really would have had a cancer for this long i might feel sicker , but im still not assure, nothing ever puts me to ease, not even a doctors word.

Is it safe to take liver cleansing supplements and colon cleansing supplements? If so, is there a certain brand you recommend? What exactly is in the supplement that is effective? Is it possible to overdose? I am a 20 yr old female with irregular bowel movements and occational nausea. My stomach is often uncomfortable and bloated (even when I’m not on my period), and I’m wondering if it would help to take colon cleansing supplements. Every now and then, maybe every 2-3 months, I get so nauseous for an hour or so and then I vomit. After I vomit I feel better but I still feel exhausted so I usually go to sleep afterwards. I already exercise, drink plenty of water, and eat healthy, but nothing I do seems to work. My doctor says there is nothing she can do because there is no consistency and there doesn’t seem to be a certain food that triggers it so she can’t diagnose anything. Also, I don’t know if this is relevant but sometimes if I’m hungry I get dizzy. If I dont eat enough I get very fatigued and sometimes dizzy. I’m 5’4" and about 108 lbs. That is a healthy weight for my body type. Just to clarify, I don’t starve myself, I always try to make sure I’ve eaten enough. Thanks

this started about a month ago i was having regular large bowel movements then over night I have had grape size only once a week if im lucky and only like 3 droppings (sorry for being graffic) but I went to the er they said I was constipated and to take a laxitive i took it i had a few bowel movements and now its a week later I had to use a sapository and here where 3 grape sizes again. I have been having nausea and vomiting off and on they said its from the constipation. but I was wondering could it be else like a inst. bloackage the only thing i dont understand is that it literally happened with in a week…. please so smart answers and i have a doc appt next week so dont suggest that because I already know what I have to do but i would like to know what I could be looking at

please and thank you =)

I started going to the doctor because i have been dealing with persistant nausea for about 7 months now. basically everything and anything causes me to feel nauseous ALL the time. I had a couple blood tests done along w/ the urine test and she had no clue what it was. she advised to make an appointment for an ultrasound and if that showed nothing that i would go to a specialist. She had mentioned that my syptoms sounded like some kind of ulcer but not likely. i just received a letter saying that i have IBS which came out of nowhere. I’ve only had blood tests done so does anyone know what test would show it was IBS? She told me to just go to the classes available at the hospital.
Also, my symptoms are persistant nausea, burning sensation in the stomach like i havent eaten in a long time, get hungry every 2-3 hrs and lots of burping. No specific food seems to make it worse either.

please if you have irritable bowel syndrome(ibs) please explain your story. Im new to this and its already ruined my life. and if you have nausea with it please explain that too

had U.C. for 17 yrs. then had colon removed, now I have a permenant illeostomy .6yrs. post now. Since then I have had multiplying illness and other cronic problems.ie. various areas of infection, chronic severe pain, teeth going bad at a fast pace multiple skin conditions, nausea, pancreatitis, liver problems, jointpain, fatigue and circulation problems. Anyone else had or have similar problems I feel like my system is attacking itself. also I don"t drink or smoke. Thank you

This is a little long but PLEASE bear with me.Please help me if you can.I have already sought medical attention and am waiting for results, although in the meanwhile I am suffering immensely.

I am a 20 yr old female.I have been having moderate back pain when I wake up for about a month. It had become more painful within the last week to the point where I need to just take a few moments to come to myself, then as I walked around it would basically go away.About 3-4 days ago I had some pretty serious abdominal pains and nausea.I went to the ER.Blood samples/urine tests all came back normal. The doctor said I might have had a intolerance to something I ate or possibly polycystic ovaries (I have had trouble with my ovaries before with cysts not bursting when they are supposed to,and got bigger. When they did burst it was INCREDIBLY painful.I went the the ER back then not knowing what was wrong. That was about 4 years ago).
The Dr. ordered a ultrasound. It was 2 days away. She sent me home for the night. In between the time I waited the back pain became VERY INTENSE.It felt like someone was punching/kicking me in the back.Stomach cramps were also present.I think the pain was more intense after everytime I tried to eat.The Nausea was also incredibly strong.I had to force myself to vomit 2 times since then.I have had fatigue and MAYBE 1 or 2 slight headaches.I remembered the day before the visit to the ER I had a bowel movement with alot of bright red blood, and blot clots in there.I forgot to mention this to the ER because I thought it was just my hemorrhoids,as I have had this happen before. Before I had the ultrasound done, that day I had another bowel movement (which I was surprised because I hadn’t really eaten anything within those 2 days because of the nausea/pain.It smelled very bad and there was again, alot of blood.I am certain it was from my rectum.I mentioned this to the person who did the ultrasound but have still gotten no word what the result was. Also the ultrasound was done on my ovaries.I suspect I may have some form of an ulcer because ulcers run all in my family (grand dad, dad, mom etc.).My family has also felt kind of sick with stomach pains, they suggest that maybe I have a bit of a virus with a ulcer acting up.PLEASE HELP ME.I am truly suffering this as the back pain never goes away.I finally filled out a prescription that was given to me for nausea today. It helped ALOT.I ate.But after I ate…the strong pain was back, although I admit that the pains have been fluctuating in severity, and not as strong as when the back pains were first REALLY felt.

There is NO chance I am pregnant and also my last period ended around the 3rd or 4th of Apr.If ANYONE has any idea what is going on,PLEASE help.Thank you in advance and God bless you all.

Also,I am taking Tylenol for pain.

I am not sure what i can eat to help get back my self back to where i was before I caught some kind of bacteria in my large colon boy was i sick for almost a week before i went to the er plus dehydration. I am having nausea now need some help on how to get back on my feet i am 51 years old can anyone help.

Okay so I completed 10 days of the diet and today was my first day in which to ease out of the lemonade routine. I drank orange juice as told in the guide and embarrassingly enough, experienced some discomfort and slight diarrhea throughout the entire day. Later in the day I decided to eat some beans since they are liquidy and then proceeded to take a nap. When I woke up I had the worst nausea ever and just thinking about food made me want to vomit. I’m trying to make the nausea and bowel discomfort go away but I don’t know what to do. Is this a normal occurrence when coming off of the diet?
I don’t understand though because others in my family did the diet as well and ate a few solid foods as they were easing out and didn’t experience any discomfort. They were also pretty liquidy beans so I wouldn’t consider them a completely solid food.

There is no doubt that fasting is beneficial, as I’ve tried it myself. But does the body actually "purge" itself of toxins as we have been told? Are they flushed out of tissues and dumped into the bloodstream? Where do they go? What percentages are excreted from the skin? The bowel? The lungs? The sinuses? Is it even measurable? Are there examples of blood chemistry before, during and after a long fast? Is the blood full of stress-related chemicals before the fast? Does the blood become "dirty" with toxins and perhaps microbes/parasites/pathogens during the cleansing stage (when we experience the headaches, chills, fever, nausea, etc)? Does the blood become "clean" again after the fast has ended? Most importantly, where has this all been proven? Everyone has an opinion, but I’m interested in knowing where I can find the FACTS.
Definitions of fasts:
Dry Fasting: No food, no liquid. Very challenging and requires close supervision. Obviously not for extended periods, but a powerful type of fast (supposedly).

Water Fasting: No food, only purified water. Also very challenging. Produces hard and fast cleansing but also causes very intense side effects. For more experienced fasters.

Juice fasting: Pure fresh fruit juices and purified water. Provides nutrients in a pre-digested format, yet allows digestive system to rest and heal. High-energy fast that does not require faster to conserve energy (quite the opposite…you take stairs two at a time!). Side effects are mild.

I’ll trust personal experience over inexperienced "professional opinion" any day. As I said, EVERYONE has an opinion…even doctors. I’m just interested in what has been proven. No conclusions necessary. Just raw data.

I’ve missed my period for the 2nd time this year when I have usually been regular. I’m 30, never had children and am not pregnant now. I have bloating, some cramping, and nausea..just like the last x this happened. I did finally get my period again (on my wedding day) now it’s missing again. I’m worried. My gyno can’t find anything wrong even after ultrasounds other than the common ovary cysts. I’m really afraid I have something wrong with me where I can never have children. Has anybody got any info for me? Thanks.

think all I have is some bad gas…but I just want to be sure. I have never experienced this kind of pain and pressure before. It started last night. I started to feel like I needed to go #2…I was watching a movie so I put it off. then I started feeling worse very quickly. My lower stomach was cramping…like in my uterus area. I had a lot of lower back pain with rectal pressure. So I went to the bathroom and did go #2, but the pain just got worse as I went. The pressure started to turn into sharp pains. I stayed on the toilet thinking I still needed to go…but I didn’t. Eventually I gave up and stumbled to my couch. The pain was really bad. I couldn’t do anything but lay on my couch and squirm. I was sweating and feeling nausea and light headed. I finally felt ok enough that I didn’t think I’d pass out and I got up and took 2 Tylenol. Then I collapsed back on my couch for about 4 hours. It hurt all night long but not as bad as it was. I am still having lower stomach and back pain and rectal pressure. And the pain intensifies when I go to the bathroom. There is no blood or anything like that.

Is that just gas or something worse?

Thanks

I have recently been diagnosed with IBS. My doctor thinks this is why I get nauseated easily, especially when I’m under stress. But someone (a nurse) told me she had IBS for 40 years, and never experienced nausea with it. On IBS websites, it only mentions diarrhea and constipation, and pain, not nausea. What is the truth?

I’ve had quite extensive testing –everything short of a colonoscopy– to try to diagnose the cause of persistent abdominal pain that started just under my right ribcage and radiating toward my back.

Sometimes there’s nausea and pain is more diffuse throughout my abdomen. I’ve had an ultrasound, abdominal CT scan, an upper endoscopy, blood tests, fecal blood tests, and a HIDA scan for the gallbladder. All normal.

At my wit’s end. I’m wondering if it’s something like Colon cancer or inflammatory bowel disease, which I understand from my research requires a colonoscopy to accurately diagnoses. Yet when I bring this point up to my doctor and to my gastroenterologist, they feel the test is unnecessary given the CT scan and other tests already done.

Who is right?

K, this is getting annoying and i cant find anything that matches my symptoms.
right now my ribs on the left are feeling a constant, relatively sharp pain.

Here’s how it went, Me and a friend we’re talking over skype about emotionally painful topic.
Eventually i began to feel a pain in my left side, followed by dizziness, a tight chest, and nausea.
Standing up made it much worse. Well i woke up the next morning feeling fine, but then a few pains came back but not very bad at all just annoying. This was about three days ago.
I have had an incredibly small fever nothing to even worry about…but ive been sweating and feeling hot. So here’s where im at now, pain in my left ribs, abdominal pain, dizzyness, tight chest, slight slight fever, a tingling body, and now i even am having a bit of rectal bleeding.

as stated before, the pains arent very intense, but are always a bother and can be enough to make me wince at times.

very detailed description, and very confusing for me, im assuming theres nothing to worry about but im having the weirdest symptoms, nothing seems to match.

like it’s really sharp and feels like it shoots all the way up there…it lasts for a few seconds then goes away. lol when I get them my eyes bulge out cuz of the sudden pain…is this common, or something serious, like should I be worried about it? I am 14, female, NEVER "did anything". lol so I know how some of you joke about "that stuff"…and I know probably none of you are doctors, but maybe some of you are.
I was in at the doctors this past week because I was having diarrhea and nausea and stuff like once or twice every week, she said I might have IBS (irritable bowel syndrome). but these pains have gone on for many years, and I don’t get them a lot.

hmmm…maybe I should become a doctor…I ask so many health questions on here…
no, it’s not from my job…I don’t have a job…lol…I mentioned earlier that I was 14. I go to school

Can someone explain to me irritable bowel im familiar with it. will it cause nausea? like an aching burning stabbing felling in your stomach. Not like gas cramps?
lol i meant im not familiar with it

Can Irritable bowel syndrome or spastic colon cause loss of appetite and nausea? I have both and my colon is very sensitive any physiological trauma can trigger any symptoms…
What can i do bout this? Please anyone??

I have been really sick for 4 months lost alot for weight, always have nausea. Also lose of appetite and just fell really sick. Have had all stomach and gallbader test and all came back good. Today I had a colonocosy that showed 1 polyp, and doc said it was not cancerous, but is still testing it. I have heard that a toxic colon can make yoy very ill. I was wondering if a colonocopy would show a toxin colon. Or is there toxins that they cant see that can make yoy ill? I also thougt I could have parsites, but never came up. I am only 19 and right before this all happend I went under alot of stress. I beleive stress had something to do with it, but my problems just keep getting worse.
