I want to cleanse my bowels, and stop this constipation naturally, without the use of laxatives,

cany body help

im interested in doing the master cleanse but the salt water flush and taking laxatives makes me a little uncomfortable… if i need to do it then i will but i would really rather not. and i dont want to hurt my stomach but is it really necessary for me to drink only orange juice and water when i "ease out" of the diet?

i haven’t had a bowel movement for about 4 days, should i be worried?
i feel bloated and i really feel somethings in my colon but i cannot cleanse it out,
i don’t think im constipated because i drink lots of water !
i don’t have time to go to the doctor’s cause i have to make an appointment in order to see them
which can take around a week or two to get arranged,
should laxatives be an option? but i don’t want to get diarrhea during an awkward time.

You don’t want a colostemy, & can’t get enough nutrients & calories from Ensure. (laxatives don’t work- documented).Enemas partially work, sometimes.Colon cleansing
won’t work due to no contraction/spams of colon.

Pain meds are clogging me up and have to take laxatives to unclog. "Catch 22". I’ve gained weight because I can’t exercise and when I take the pain meds, all I want to do is lay around or sleep. Please help!

There are many products that claim to cleanse your colon and remove pounds of accumulated you know what. These products are promoted through spam emails as weight loss products and mostly contain herbs and act as mild laxatives, but are there any true products that could help to cleanse your body and available without a prescription?

I havent urinated more than normal and even after 2 laxatives I still havent had a bowel movement. What is wrong w/ me? I worked out yesterday….started the diet and I havent eaten anything.

I have been diagnosed with interstitial cystitis and suspect it is accompanied by irritable bowel syndrome. I have tried laxatives and enema for the IBS, but afterwards I still feel constipated, although I do evacuate…The IC and IBS often coincide and are worst during ovulation in my monthly cycle, so I think my main culprit is hormonal fluctuations…Does anybody have suggestions on this one?

I will be starting the master cleanse soon and I would like to know the minimum that I can take the laxative tea/salt water solution? I don’t want this to interfere with my job, so can I just take it in the evening before bed? Is every couple of days possible?
Also, do I need to do both laxative tea AND salt water or just one? How should I switch off between the two?

I had gastric bypass, which was pretty much similar in the terms of being on a liquid diet and starving, and I didn’t have to do any laxatives or saline and I was fine in terms of bowel issues. Other than the fact that I had very few.

Sorry about all the questions, I hope there are some experts out there to help me! Thanks :)

I am going to start dieting & exercising starting this week and i researched colon cleansing and am going to do that to help loose some extra pounds at first and to make me healthier. My question is, what is the correct procedure? I am going to use laxatives (the natural way would take 3 weeks of only drinking liquids and eating NO food).

I’ve had a "broken" bowel since I was about 6 years old. I’ve been to doctors time and time again, and they just send me home saying I’m constipated. I only have bowel movements maybe twice a month, if I’m lucky. I can’t see a gastroenterologist without a referral, and I can’t get a referral because none of the doctors think anything is wrong with me. I’ve not had regular bowel movements for 19 years, I know that’s not constipation. So, my question is: Does anyone have any home remedies that will drastically cleanse my colon that require seeing a doctor???? (Since they aren’t helping me anyway). One more thing…laxatives don’t work. I’ve tried EVERYTHING that I can think of. So ANY help at all will be GREATLY appreciated!! Thanks in advance!
((I’ve even tried the enemas..those are only a quick fix…and even then it doesn’t seem to do much at all..)

For the past year, I have been having on average three to four bowel movements per day, sometimes more. They always feel unfinished, and I get cramps and gas often. I rarely get constipated, and I get dhiarrea occasionally, but usually it’s just regular stool. The stool is usually thin in shape. I used to have just one bowel movement per day, and afterward I would feel totally relieved, and sort of energized. Now it’s totally the opposite. Sometimes my bowel movements smell like a dead animal, and I get gas that smells like that sometimes.

Is it possible I have a bowel obstruction, or is it just Irritable Bowel Syndrome? I tried giving myself saline enemas, and not much came out. I also tried taking colon cleanse laxatives, and I got a little diarreah, but thats about it.

It’s ruining my life, I am 30 years old and it’s making it hard for me to have a social life like this, and I sometimes dread going to work because I have to poop so many times, and I get so much gas.

i walk every day and take my oatmeal and eat plenty of fruit. i have no cancer or anything. i have try all laxatives, miralax, faxseed, amitiza, and still no luck. i hardy get any sleep at night. i am in my 60s and never had this problem i just want to know out to clean out my smaller bowel i even try a fleat eniimas no luck . need help

Before a colonoscopy u have to take those special laxatives. How often do you end up going to the toilet? Every 5 mins or so? And alsooo do u get anal leakage???

Help somebody. I have recently been diagnosis with a bunch of problems. I was first diagnosis with a ulcer in my sigmoid colon, and colitis. Now I have a hiatal hernia, esophagitis, gastritis, and gastroparesis. And the gastroparesis is the worst I have ever heard anyone having. Your stomach is supposed to empty within 1-2 hours well mine takes 11 to 12 hours. I can’t handle it I am always nauseas I eat and I am nauseas for 3-6 hours after. And I want to vomit only if I could. I have made myself vomit before because of the pain. I have only done that once, but because of the pain I am afraid I will become bulimic. And I don’t want that either. They tell me not to eat fiber because it’s harder to digest, but I have really bad constipation. (You don’t even understand they gave me the 4 laxatives and the drink for a colonoscopy and did nothing pretty much) without fiber I can’t go the bathroom, but with fiber my stomach hurts. On top of it I have chest pain once and awhile with the gastroparesis. I bend over after I eat and I can feel my food coming back up. I swear i can feel my bowels move in my transverse colon. I have muscle spasms in my back and neck. I twitch during the night really bad. I wake up with back pain so bad it’s not even funny. My anxiety level and anger is very high. I start shaking because of it. I am afraid to take the medicine for gastroparesis because of the side effects that can happen I know they don’t happen to everyone but trust me when I say I have bad luck so I WILL have the side effects that are permanent. I don’t like a lot of the foods on the gastroparesis diet. I am only 23 and have 3 kids and go to college full-time so my stress is way up there. They say that’s what is causing this. Please someone have any advice or a good site to go to for gastroparesis diet. I can’t take all these problems. And I can’t interact with my kids because I am in pain. My back hurts, my stomach is killing me, and I am very irritated!
They have checked my thyroid and nothing. I am not diabetic, they check. I am on Zegrid and that’s about it, I don’t know why they can’t give me more medications to help with all of this.

It all started a year ago when i couldnt go to the toilet and had severe pain in my rectum that i couldnt sit down. i was too embarresed to go to the doctor and tried some over the counter suppositories which initially helped but quickly the constipaion and pain came back. the pain wasnt as severe and ever since it comes and goes normally on a weekly the basis. I only ever get the pain when sitting/driving, and as i work from a desk im almost always sitting down. The pain is never normally there in the morning but as the day goes on i feel it coming on and by the evening i normally need a bath to soothe it. Its more like a burning pain and is bearable but uncomfortable. i’m still having constipation but seeing my doctor for this and am on laxatives and high fibre diet at the moment. The pain is really wierd. its only on one side of my bum! After a while it makes that side of my bum cheek sore too! The other side is fine. i had a "look" in the mirror and cant really see much but it does sometimes look quite red and inflammed. Im 23 years old and female and this is starting to really worry me. When i am really constipated i sometimes pass a little bit of mucus and the otherday there was some blood stained mucus (my doctor is aware of this). The only way i can describe the pain/burning sensation is like a papercut! When i go to the toilet it doesnt hurt when i go but im often left with a more deeper burning sensation afterwards…im confused what this could be….please help!

I don’t eat fruits or veggies. I know that they would aid in this, but I just don’t eat them. I eat mostly baked meats (chicken, pork, lean beef, and turkey), whole grain wheat bread and I drink 8-12 cups of water daily. I like Golden Graham cereal w/o milk. I drink orange juice and grape juice (100% fruit juice). I eat a plain ice cream cone or one chocolate chip cookie once or twice a week. Any suggestions? Fiber supplements? Cleansing? HELP!!! I am trying to lose weight through exercise and being more conscious of what I eat but my stomach often feels hard, bubbly, and swollen. I know that my diet is whack but it’s worked for me in the past. I am in my mid thirties and have no medical problems that I know of. My measurements are 36-33-46. I’m not obese but I am overweight. I just want to be able to eat, digest and get rid of the foods I consume normally. I fear becoming dependent on laxatives so I use them very sparingly.

I haven’t been able to make a bowel movement for 3 days, and I’m experiencing some mild pain around the rectum area.

Should I just go get some laxatives or should I see a doctor first? Could laxatives make it worse?
I don’t take painkillers.

I asked this before but people didn’t take notice of the main word "homemade." Any homemade treatments for colon cleansing? I’m not talking going three days without eating or prune juice or laxatives.

I cannot go to the bathroom regularly and I have been to a doctor but they only suggest taking laxatives. Both doctors I have been to said same thing, am I losing hope because I am constantly feeling sick after not being able to go to bathroom up to 1 to 2 weeks at a time. I have tried fiber, vitamin supplements, probiotics, magnesium, healthy diets, i drink a lot of water, plus many more experiments including colon cleanse pills. Nothing seems to be helping and my doctors tell me because it is a problem with the funtion of my bowel muscles, there is nothing to be done about it. Any help? I’m desperate. Thank you!

My 3 year old son is scheduled for a colonoscopy on friday. He has to take laxatives to cleanse his vowels and can only have liquids on thursday. The laxatives sounds painful and i don’t know how he will go about not eating for the whole day. Has anyone else gone through this?

I was recently told that I was full of crap! I pondered this question for a moment or two, then headed straight to you, the insightful ones.

So how is one to know if they are truly in need of a cleansing, or as what a colonic preveyor may refer to as detoxification.

Now, if my schooling taught me anything, it was that the colon, also called the large intestine follows the small intestine and comprises the end of the gastrointestinal tract. Now, we learned that most nutrients from food are absorbed in the small intestine. This would entail the colon to absorb water and salts from the stool while it pushes it along through the rectum. Correct?
Wouldn’t laxatives work just the same? They promote bowel movements, have been around for atleast 3892 Years!
Colon cleansing refers to a more invasive procedure of water and hoses stuck you-know-where. It’s not clear when this practice started.

It’s not poo in the toilet that ponders my couriosity, it’s the poo in me!
