i want to know if there is anything i can do. Ive been having problems when i go to the bathroom and do number 2. it burns every time it happens and it isnt getting better. yeah there are days where it doesnt burn and i feel great. but then there are other days where i feel like my intestines burn like hell. up to my chest is where the burning is at. ive seen a doctor and told him everything possible thats wrong with me and all he gives me is ibuproffin or an inhailer. WTF?! (sorry if i cant spell) i just wanted to know if there is something i could take to have a healthy colon. thank you for your time.

So at 9am this morning i noticed my pregnant cat was meowing alot and looking restless. I thought it may be labour starting. At 11am i noticed what must have been her waters bulging. Put her in her birthing box and at 12.40pm she gave birth to her first kitten. (so cute!)
She did everything she was supposed to do, cleaning kitten, eating the after birth and resting while the kitten feeds. At 15.15 pm she had her second kitten. This kitten was born dead, very tiny and its intestines on the outside. Why was it like this? As it was developed in every other way.

Its now 17.50 pm and mom has had something to eat and is resting/sleeping while the first kitten drinks. Mom has not stoped purring through the whole process!!

How will i know if there is any other kittens to come?? And what is the likely hood that these will be dead/deformed too??
Isn’t it taking mom a bit long to have each kitten?

My holland lop is about 10 weeks old, and he’s been losing his fur and there are huge chunks that are clumped together, is that normal? I know that bunnies molt around 3 months, so I’ve been brushing him daily, trying to get the clumps out. I figure the clumps may be due to him just cleaning himself, and since his hair is fine, it clumps and gets tangled and caught up easily. How do I tell that he’s really molting besides fur loss? I’ve taken precautions in case he is by giving up lots of water an hay so that if he ingests his hair it wont get caught up in his intestines. His fur is pretty long too, so it’s hard to tell.

I was in my kitchen cleaning and I heard a horn honking outside in front of my house. I stopped what I was doing, went outside and found 3 people across the street sitting on a curb. One of them was crying. I ran over to see what happened and I saw a dead dog laying on the side of the road. It was completely ripped open, guts and intestines everywhere, neck twisted and tongue hanging out of its mouth. I went over to the people and said "was this your dog"? And one of the women looked at me and said no. So I said "It’s sad but, that’s what happens when you don’t put a collar on your dog". Then one of the boys stood up and said "It was my dog". He was probably about 20 years old. I felt guilty that I said anything about the collar….. but I’m right aren’t I? He said the dog had run away 5 hours ago. If the dog would have had a collar on, someone probably would have called and told him that his dog was loose.

Who is heartless enough to hit a dog and just keep driving? That is so messed up.

DAA- you’re right. A collar will not protect a dog from getting hit by a car. But if you read what I wrote, the dog was loose for 5 hours before it got hit by a car. A collar probably would have saved that dogs life because someone would have called the owner to say that the dog was loose.
IAmJulie- I don’t know if it would be considered a hit and run because the police came but didn’t ask the boy if he wanted to file a report or anything.
Okay, you guys are right- if the dog is running, someone probably wouldn’t be able to catch it to check the collar. But if the dog isn’t running, that collar could save it’s life.

So for the last couple of months I have been experiencing digestion problems. At first I suffered from constipation along with excessive bloating. It eventually went away after taking natural colon cleansing pills. Everything was going fine I felt like it my stomach was slowly regulating. I started taking vitamins as well and after a week or so stopped because I felt pains in my stomach. I had never experienced any trouble with vitamins and I found them easy to take. I took them with food but after a week or I started having stomach pains and my stomach was bloated and hard. I stopped taking any kind of pill and it helped, but my stomach would still hurt and bloat up even if I hadn’t eaten. Up to now I can not take my multivitamins or any kind of pills because it bloats up the lower part of my stomach and I will experience pain and constipation. Even when I don’t take any pills I wake up with the lower part of my stomach bloated until I have a bowel movement, and depending on the size of it that’s how much the my bloating will go away. I eat healthy and don’t eat greasy foods. I went to the doctor and they told me I might have IBS but that my symptoms are a little uncommon for IBS. They gave me medication and since its pills my stomach bloats up. Can anyone help me? I feel like something else is wrong and it has to do more with my digestion and my intestines.

Over the years strange things have happened in my house with different cats I have been owned by. I thought if I shared maybe people could tell me some and get some giggles on a boring night. I swear cats get themselves in the strangest situations!

My first cat ever was maybe a year old and after eating treats he was cleaning himself and stuck his one nail right through his tongue. I called the vet they said if he stops eating bring him in but they had never heard of that before.

I had another cat who was also young. We also had a salt water fish tank. We got an eel for one of the tanks. Within 48 hours we had trouble. We came home and the top of the tank was half in the water- we had a wet cat and no eel. I called the vet and they were dumbfounded- the question went like this: Can a 9 month old kitten eat a 9 inch eel? The girl on the phone was stuttering- now it’s very funny. Their only response was that is the eel had teeth it could nick the intestines and cause problems. We watched him for a few days but he was fine.

My older cat likes to escape every few years and run around in the grass. After one such episode he was blowing out of his nostrils a lot. I was perplexed as to why- two days later he’s still doing it like he had a booger stuck in there. Then I noticed bloody mucus coming out and started to get worried. That night I look over at him and something long and dark green was hanging out of his nose. I pulled and believe it or not he had a 4 inch long piece of grass stuck in there!

Ok. I used to be constipated as a little kid. I hated it, I used enenemas and nothing would happen. I started eatting alot of junk, and alot more food, and strangely enough I had regular bowel movements, at least daily or every other day. I went on a diet about 5 months ago and have been losing some weight. However I’ve been getting constipated for like the past 3 or 4 months. Like I’d stick my finger up my butt, I could feel the poo, yet there was like some tissue blocking the way or something?

Anyways I took a laxative on Friday and cleaned out my intestines. Tomorow will be the 5th day I haven’t pooped. I ate ALOT on Saturday. What should I do to poop? I drink alot of water and eat a good amount of fiber, as well as exercise.

There was this show on a long time ago (not like 20 years, more like 5-6), that was a spoof/comedy skit show. the title had the word Giant(s) in it, that is the part I cannot figure out.

Some of the things that happened during this skit show are as follows:
One episode the three actors had just got done robbing a armored car, they drove the van out into the woods to split up the money. but, they become greed and begin to kill each other. only one remains and he laughs as he goes to count the money only to find that it was play money (monopoly)

The show began with the actors at a party and there was a pinata, in the corner of the room hiding under the table was the pinata’s son (or daughter?), the hanging pinata was then smashed open and the little pinata started to cry. well, later that night the guy who smashed open the pinata, goes down stairs to get something to drink when he is suddenly knocked out! he awakes to find himself hanging from the ceiling with other pinatas huddle around him, the cry pinata (from before) walks up to him and begins to hit his stomach with a bat, his intestines fall out and the pinatas eat them.

I heard that by the time the average person reaches 40yrs old they have 7lb of undigested meat in their intestines. Although obese people have more. It was reported Elvis had 42lb, and Marlon Brando had 63lb. My question is when you have a colonoscopy they drink a gallon of Drano, Not really, but it is some kind of cleaning stuff. You sh*t and then kind of pea out your butt, for 3 hours. Then when they do the medical test, they also flush you out. So when you have this done, are we not starting fresh, as clean as a baby, and we start clean? If not why?

My parents have been gone since Friday. I’m 15, and my siblings are 10 and 11.My grandparents have been staying with me and my siblings but not everything gets done. for example they aren’t good at doing dishes, keeping the house clean, or putting food away. On Friday I volunteered for a 4-H thing, then went with my grandma to run errands. I went to bed early because on Saturday morning I had to be up at 4:30am to go to work. After work (I get off at 1pm) I came home, helped with lunch, chilled, then helped with dinner. I promised mom that I would get lots of homework done (I do online school and am a little behind right now) before she got home mid afternoon on Sunday. however, my little sister had to sing in church this morning at 8:00am (early service) so that’s the only service we could go to. At 10pm….everyone had just gone to bed, the house was a mess, the sink piled with plates, pizza pans unclean laying on the counter, dishwasher was full of dishes to be unloaded. i still hadn’t done any homework since Thursday. My intestines were in a knot so I couldn’t sleep anyway. Soo even though I knew it would make it impossible to get up for church in the morning, I cleaned the house, did the dishes, and did TONS of homework. Not only am I no longer behind in this class, but I’m actually ahead of pace now! I was going to a friends house with my dogs to practice some agility yesterday but she wasn’t going to be home so we switched our time to 5pm today. However, after mom heard that I didn’t go to church she told me to cancel it. I live 30 minutes from this friend and rarely see her but I cancelled it like she said. Now I feel kinda bad….as if maybe she would prefer I would have gone to church instead of cleaning and doing homework? Was it a bad idea to stay up until 4am trying to make my mom proud only to just piss her off more? =[

I have a 4 year old cat, Domino. I’ve noticed that lately his teeth have been a slight yellow colour, and i was wondering if anyone knew anything about getting them cleaned. He’s an outdoor cat and so obviously eats all kinds of things. He eats canned cat food, its called "felix" and i don’t think that’s the problem.

I probably should have looked into it when i first got him but it honestly didn’t occur to me, i would never do anything to put him in pain and i love him very much. I have a 9 year old cat who eats cat biscuits, shes got white teeth and i’ve had her longer, which is why i never thought to brush Domino’s teeth.

I would like to help him and so was wondering if you could tell me what problems tooth decay can cause because i know it can effect the stomach and intestines as well as the mouth. and how i can help, maybe a thorough cleaning from the vets and then me brushing them daily. i dont know how much it would cost or if there are special dental vets, or where i can get brushes.

I have 2 JRT’s One is 3 that is OZ who you see pictures of and the his brother is Russy and hes 2. He is on OZ’s page he is the one with the wired hair. Well Russy has began to have medical issues this past month. He began to have allergies that were making his belly and paws red. This was being treated with Pretezone from my vet. (I am sorry for the spelling on some of the medication I mention) This medication began to get him real down and sleepy so my vet changed the medication to Medrol. He was on Medrol for 8 days and this past wednesday the 8th he began to vomit. He vomited a total of 11 times that day. The first two times he vomited a bit of his food and the rest was just water that he had drank the rest of the day. He lost his appetite and does not want to eat anything. From peanut butter to soft food I mean nothing. He was put on medication for the vomiting Sucralfate, Metoclopramide and one more that I can not remember. This did not help and He has become more weak and does not want even water at this point. Saturday I took his back to the vet and had more X-rays were taken along with blood work and urinary analysis. His X-rays show that his intestines might have a blockage. The X-rays show a bit of cloudiness but nothing significant that can be seen. He is currently in the hospital on IV and fluids. A Barium was done today so maybe we can get a clearer idea with new X-rays if something is blocking his intestines. The Barium was negative and the fluid passed right through all his organs. The next step was an ultrasound that also came back negative. All of his organs from kidneys to liver were fine. He had a pendesitis test ran to rule out diabetes and that came out okay as well. The blood work did show some high and low levels of many things but the vets say that can be to not eating for 5 days and not receiving the proper nutrition were the body is starting to brake down its own body fat. My next option is Exploratory surgery. I am positive that he has not gotten into anything that he might have swallowed but with JRT you never know. They are quick, curious and sneaky. I keep my yard extremely clean and my house has never had any toxins like cleaning supply or garage stuff left out. I will do anything for my JRT but I fear that after the surgery I will still not have any answers to why he has not appetite for 5 days going on to 6.
Has anyone ever had any issues similar to mine?
If anyone can offer any advice it would be great. I love my JRT I do not have kids so these are my kids. I am desperately seeking answers.!

I was cleaning a whole chicken that I bought and with the giblets and neck came a worm-looking thing. My mom says it is just the intestine of the chicken, but are chicken intestines segmented-looking? It seemed to have lateral lines all around the "intestine," which made me think it was a worm. Anyways, is it safe to eat the chicken? I baked the chicken in the oven for almost 2 hours at 350 degrees, with the chicken’s internal temperature reading of over 180 degrees Farenheit after cooking. If the chicken was diseased in some way, would the overbearing heat cause all bacteria to die?

On Saturday i was cleaning his tank and i dropped him! I put him back in his tank right away but he started spazzing out, and eventually floated upside down
But i woke up this morning to find him right side up, he swims up to get air, and is swimming around as usual!

Been having hard stools for about 3 days now. I’m 15. I thinks it what ive been eating for the past 2 weeks. I been eating mcds and burger king and pizza straight all 2 weeks. And i noticed my stool is hard. And i havent been feeling that good. Like fatique and irritible and stuff. I ate a salad today with fries and a whopper for dinner. I remember i had this a while back and i drank some of my dads milk of magnesia and OHHH BOY after a day i was cleaning out the street suers. LOL, but yeah… any advice… i hope its nothing serious with my intestines or nothing. Just want to see if anyone experieneced that before or not lol

Alright, I had one messed up dream last night, and i know it had nothing to do with anything I saw that day.
There was this crazy white rabbit who my family and I had locked in a room in our house, whenever I’d go check on it, it would freak out and start making crazy noises and scream, and it ate people’s intestines. I’d go in the room and the walls were splattered with blood and intestines were everywhere. I had something in my hand at one point and the rabbit grabbed it from me, almost attacking me too, then ripped whatever was in my hands intestines out, and I ran out of the room.

Apparently something else had happened in the kitchen (still in the dream) cause I crawled in, and for some reason knew that the kitchen walls were cleaned, because they were bloody before. I looked at my dad and said "I guess you cleaned that one up?" he said he had and that I should have done it instead, and he started lecturing me about cleaning up my own messes. I got really angry, shouted something like "You like making fun of me?!" then I stood up and started walking towards him while looking for a utensil, I think I was gonna try to hurt him with it.

Then I woke up, and I’ve been terrified that this rabbit’s gonna show up all day.

Yes, I have weird dreams. But nothing’s ever been this messed up, so if anyone’s good at interpreting like full dreams as opposed to doing it word for word (because rabbits mean luck while intestines mean great evil) it’d be a huge help.

Okay, I’ve been reading around and have found a few things saying that meat stays into your intestines for a lot longer than other foods because it is so hard to digest. I have become a vegetarian now for a little over 2 months. About the end of Jan. I started having gas, an upset stomach, cramping and diarrhea. I was told since I was eating for things with fiber in them, and a healthier diet my body was just getting rid of the meat in my system, and cleansing my body. I’m starting to wonder about it now though. I sometimes don’t even feel like I’m about to have a bowel movement, and I do anyways. The movements are not that normal either. They are liquid-like, and have a larger odor that usual.

I don’t know what kinds of foods have a lot of fiber in them to begin with, but even so…is this normal? I mean it has been about two and a half weeks of this. It is not getting any better…I don’t quite understand. Thank you. If you need any other details I’ll be able to give them to you.
I’m taking medication, but I was taking it before starting to become a vegetarian…and it never caused these problems.
Another thing is though, I’ve not really up’d my intake on veggies, maybe more with bananas, but no other fruits really…just not eating quite so much junk, no meat, and cutting back on fattening things.

I’m asking what’s the difference, they are both the unused parts of chickens not suitable for human consumption. They’re both safe and edible for cats and either one or the other is in high quality cat or kitten food. Usually the first ingredient meaning it’s the biggest amount in the food.

So really aren’t they both the same thing worded slightly different?
Ken, I read the first link and meal could contain phenobarbital which could be linked to euthanized cats and dogs. The FDA did the study. The FDA is who protects humans and food consumption not our pets. Of course the pet food world vehemently denies cats and dogs are used but there isn’t regulation in place to stop them. Meal starting to look worse then ever in my eyes. Interesting reading none the less.
After reading that link I’m now off to the pet store to try and again pick the best cat food. This is nerve racking and I don’t have the time to make her food myself. Heck my cat wont even eat wet food anymore. Now I’ll have to force her since learning dry food is horrible.

Anyone got a good suggestion for HIGH QUALITY cat food?
so I went to the petstore and search all the lables.
Evo has more then 2% ash which I read wasn’t an acceptable amount.
Wellness has 2% but hasn’t actually been feed to cats in order to get the AAFCO
Science diet has the same ingredients as the above to but has been actually feed to cats and has the AAFCO guarantee.

I bought it and my cat still refused wet food. How do I have her eat wet, she hasn’t in almost 9 months. One day she just stopped. She wont eat human chicken, soft chew treats, nothing mushy LOL. Very odd. I know I need to force her but how.
