I’m thinking of doing a colon cleanse and was wondering if anyone has ever done this before. What products did you use? How did you go about doing it? What were you benefits? I’m not doing it to lose weight just because I heard it is good for your health. Is this true? Any suggestions/advice will be appreciated. Thanks :)

I used one last night cause I’ve been having problems doing the "do" and then again when I got off work.

Is this bad for my colon? Or health?

Also anyone using this rx diet, about how long doe’s it take to show results. He is still vomiting daily. This is pricy stuff and we have two other cats and can’t keep it away from them so must feed them all the same diet. Otherwise his health is good and we really love this gentle sweet pet.We have worked closley with our vet and she is out of answers. HELP.

I’m 18 and in college which is stressful on it’s own. Now, we just discovered my mom has stage IV colon cancer & it’s terminal. She just had surgery to remove bits of her colon, but the cancer in her liver isn’t curable. She’s really depressed and has high anxiety. She’s only 49 too. I’m so stressed and it’s affecting my health and schoolwork and everything. Any advice? I feel like my world is falling apart.

In addition to diet/exercise/taking vitamins, I was thinking about trying a colon cleansing regimen to improve my overall health and metabolism. I was reading about it, and from what I understand it’s pretty safe.

However, these are the questions that I cannot seem to find direct answers to that I want to hear from someone with experience.
1. How long does it take? (I realize this may vary from what kind of regimen). And it’s usually a fast, right?
2. Does the product that you take to do the cleanse… what does it make you feel like? Is it painful? Basically, am I going to be married to the toilet? Were you miserable doing this?
3. I’ve seen some pretty nasty pictures of the bi-product of this. Dumb question, but I would actually sh*t that out all at once? Does it hurt? How long from the start of the regimen does it take to get to this nasty point? And is that the end of it? Or are these pictures of what I will be depositing into the toilet every day?!
4. Was it honestly worth it? Did you feel any better? What were the short term and longer term effects? How much did you spend?

Thank you for answering my gross, but curious questions from your personal experience.

For health and weight loss purposes, I am considering using a colon cleanser. Because there are over 200 on the market, I’m curious which one(s) you have used and what your experience was with them.

1) Have you used a colon cleanser?
2) If yes, what brand?
3) Were you please with the results? If no, why not?
4) Would you do it again?

Thanks in advance for your help!

What will they come up with next? What is with all this garbage about Colonics. All they are is a glorified enema. I can’t imagine doing something like that voluntarily unless I was extremely constipated. An enema will clean out your colon for sure, but what are the long term effects? I just don’t see where these things are so supposedly "beneficial to your health".

This isn’t a drug detox question, it’s generally watching what you eat and then they have those 10-day detox, whole body cleanse, colon cleanse, everything cleanse, and the products to help you do that. Are they necessary, or even helpful in your overall health, and what exactly do they detox and help with? How often shouold you do it?

Now here are my main questions.

1)Do you HAVE to detox for several days in a row using the products as stated, or can you do it slowly, perhaps doing it on one day, then taking a small two-three day break and just doing it a bit over time? (I’m asking because this can be a bit harsh on my system and I really can’t handle it all in one shot)

2)Why do certain foods (ESPECIALLY junk/sugar) affect me soooooo much, like they just hit me so hard, after a detox program?

I Iate one chocolate chip cookie after I detoxed, and I nearly fainted and puked all day long. I just had such a negative reaction to it.

I haven’t always been overweight but now it’s starting to affect my health unfortunately… because my family has a history of diabetes. I signed up for the free trial of the Acai Berry and Colon Cleanse because of all the commercials and I want to know any input if it works. I haven’t gotten the pills yet but I’m hoping I can lose at least 50lbs… and it’s not bad for my health to lose this weight it’s mandatory!

If you have did they work for you. After taking these supplements did you get more energy and feel better. Did it help you go to the bathroom more often.

I am just wondering because I have just started taking a colon cleanse supplement, a liver cleanse supplement and a daily once a day woman vitamin and vitamin c. And it seems to be helping me. I feel better and not all sluggish, I have energy. I feel like my overall health is improving.

I’m thin and don’t need to lose weight, but I do have a mid-section and heard that colon cleansing can make your stomach flatter. Is it ok health wise also?

I am in search of products in the market that I can buy that will detox my internal organs. Those that cleanses it or purify it back to its original health. Other than Blessed Herbs that is… since it’s 4,476pesos here in the Philippines… And other ways of detoxifying the body internally… Aside from juice fasting which i don’t understand so much. Please provide me some effective experienced products that you may suggest and experienced or tried… Thank you.

I know a little bit about colon cleansing and the facts on colon cleansing and what it does to improve your health, but has anyone ever done a colon cleanse and if so, what is best product and most affordable one out there that works? I am just curious to if a clogged colon is responsible for all sorts of problems like foggy memory, lack of energy, irregular bowels and not having a bowel movement everyday, lack of concentration, mood swings, as well as a pop belly when you aren’t exactly that much overweight. Those symptoms represent me and I was wondering if doing a colon cleanse regimen would make me feel like a whole new person and give me energy and strength to go work out in a gym and build up my muscles. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Is there some less invasive/disgusting and more holistic approach to clean out one’s intestines other than an enema?

Eating fiber and staying hydrated is great, but I’ve read that most "healthy" people have dried matter that is harmful to their health.
is there like a supplement/herbal pill?

Is really a benefit to health? Do you really carry around pounds of undigested food in your gut? Are any of the pills legit, or do you have to get hooked up to a machine? Do any (mainstream) doctors recommend it? What’s the deal?

I’m confused.. are their pills that you take for this? And if so, what are the best kind and where would you get them? I read that a colon cleanse (and other cleanses) are extremely beneficial to your health in many ways.

Has anyone out there tried the acai berry & colon cleanse diet? I’m not talking about the FREE TRIAL offer you can get online or ANYTHING you have to order (and possibly get scammed with). I’m talking about, has anyone ever walked in to their local GNC or other health & nutrition stores and purchased some colon cleanse pills and acai berry extract juice and tried it to see if you’d lose weight? Did it work?

I was considering buying this 32 ounce bottle of acai berry juice that I saw at GNC and combining it with a colon cleanser I saw there. The problem is, the juice is around .00 and that’s pretty steep for me. I’d do it in a second if I honestly thought it would really work. There’s GOT TO BE someone out there who has tried doing this yourselves. I’m desperate for some serious weight loss help.

I want to give myself a good cleaning. I read that this stuff works great, but is expensive. I dont mind paying the price if it is beneficial to my health. Has anybody tried it and felt good about its results? I believe the colon/intestines should be cleaned out at least once a year. After all, it is an organ full of polluted mess!

PS: I wanted to list this question in the ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE category but Yahoo wont let me choose that one.

I am 15 years old and really feel that cleansing my colon would be good for my health. Also, how do you ask your parents for it? I have lost about 10 lbs so my parents constantly worry about my weight and I don’t want them to think it is because I want to lose more.

Thanks in advance :)

I am breastfeeding my 1 year old baby who is very under weight due reasons unknown to me and the doctors. I am diagnosed with spastic colon, can it affect his health? Is there any possibility that he can inherit the disease from me anytime in life?

I would like to hear from others who have done this.
What method did you use, how long did it take and what differences did you notice in your health afterwards (positive and/or negative).
