I am going to be going on a strict diet due to doctors order starting
the 10th of Jan. Some have told me that doing a cleanse of some sort
is a good way to start. Is that true and if so, should it be just product
I buy or a separate cleanse diet. What would be best. 60yr old male
I’ve had a "broken" bowel since I was about 6 years old. I’ve been to doctors time and time again, and they just send me home saying I’m constipated. I only have bowel movements maybe twice a month, if I’m lucky. I can’t see a gastroenterologist without a referral, and I can’t get a referral because none of the doctors think anything is wrong with me. I’ve not had regular bowel movements for 19 years, I know that’s not constipation. So, my question is: Does anyone have any home remedies that will drastically cleanse my colon that require seeing a doctor???? (Since they aren’t helping me anyway). One more thing…laxatives don’t work. I’ve tried EVERYTHING that I can think of. So ANY help at all will be GREATLY appreciated!! Thanks in advance!
((I’ve even tried the enemas..those are only a quick fix…and even then it doesn’t seem to do much at all..)
Is it diet ? is it by medicine ? is it by reducing stress? many doctors could mot solve the problem?
I have been awakened at night by severe rectal pain (lasting about 5 painful minutes) so I looked it up and found that it’s called Proctalgia fugax, a severe, episodic rectal pain that usually occurs at night, a muscle cramp in the wrong place at the wrong time, rectal spasms or just plain pain in the anus…
It could last a few seconds to a few minutes so most people do not even report it to their doctors.
Warm baths and massages seem to relieve it but I’d like to know if any one of you people found other true and tried methods to relieve that pain in the butt fast.
I do not have IBS, I’m very regular and eat lots of fiber and have no problem my my digestive system.
The pain is killing me, makes me feel sick, don´t enjoy life at all now I have this complaint, has anyone out there any advice on how to cope with it.
Doctors say there is no cure, and as I take alot of medication for other problems they say there is not much that can be done.
I have been diagnosed with IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) because of this I am in a lot of pain most times and medications prescribed by the doctors are ineffective. It doesn’t seem to have a pattern on what effect me. I mean are there certain food groups I should stay away from or embrace? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Has anyone ever had a sharp stinging or burning sensation by your butt hole? I looked on web md and those are the things that came up for the symptoms. I dont know what to do, Im afraid to go to the hospital. Will it just go away by itself? Any doctors around here?
I just did the liver cleanse by Dr. Hulda Clark. There were no complications, but the morning after I did the cleanse, I couldn’t identify any stones in the bowel movement. Could someone experienced tell me a possible problem scenario? Im not exactly sure WHY I didnt get any stones out.
Janet,
I spent over building the zapper which is suppossed to eliminate parasites before doing a liver cleanse. I also had dental work done before the cleanse. I understood that Hulda Clarks liver cleanse recipe was a "true cleanse", and it was also recommended by one of my doctors. I attempted to cleanse to eliminate my shoulder pain, and to eliminate my allergies as well. I also work in a natural foods store, and I heard her cleanse is very effective. I’m not certain of the problem.
My aunt has had severe crohns for about 5 years now. She has done all she could to avoid having surgery. Up until recently all the doctors had said she should get a colostomy bag and allow her rectal area to heal. She has several fistulas and a lot of scar tissue near her rectum. It has gotten so bad now that the doctors say, it would be best to remove her rectum and mostly all of her large intestine. She has been on imuran and remicade. They said they can not remove the scar tissue from her anal area, because it would leave her incontinent. Does diseased tissue have any chance at all to heal? I dont understand why they dont even try to do a reversible surgery? Why does such a drastic surgery have to be done? From what I have read, it sounds like, she will be in less pain though. No woman wants to have something like this done. It is just awful.
They said they can’t remove the scar tissue from her anal area because it would leave her incontinent. I think she should get a second opinion from another expert also.
This is what her doctors are saying could happen. She has Stage 3 ovarian cancer and has had 2 chemos so far but still has the bowel obstruction…should this reverse it? What other options might they do that they are not telling me? She can’t go home like this! Anybody have experience with this?
I have 2 people tell me that this is possible based on their doctors’ statement. I think I’m being played. I know enough about the digestive system to believe that it is impossible. But I am the first to admit that I don’t know everything and before I call them on it, I’d like to give someone the chance to tell me they’re right, I’m wrong, and provide a link to proving it. Sounds like a nonsensical myth to me.
like it’s really sharp and feels like it shoots all the way up there…it lasts for a few seconds then goes away. lol when I get them my eyes bulge out cuz of the sudden pain…is this common, or something serious, like should I be worried about it? I am 14, female, NEVER "did anything". lol so I know how some of you joke about "that stuff"…and I know probably none of you are doctors, but maybe some of you are.
I was in at the doctors this past week because I was having diarrhea and nausea and stuff like once or twice every week, she said I might have IBS (irritable bowel syndrome). but these pains have gone on for many years, and I don’t get them a lot.
hmmm…maybe I should become a doctor…I ask so many health questions on here…
no, it’s not from my job…I don’t have a job…lol…I mentioned earlier that I was 14. I go to school
I keep having this pain behind my ribs, are they from my intestine or my kidney? any doctors?
Thanks for answering.
i have heard much about cleansing the colon, especially if you have a family or personal history with polyps or cancer in the colon. it is also supposed to help with weight loss… does anyone know about the effects and side effects of this process? i’d be particularly interested in health care professionals and doctors answers if your out there….
thanks
aren’t the doctors basically cutting ur a_s_s? I would think that’s the most horrible embarassing surgery there is. & u can’t even do #2 either, isn’t it? How do I prevent myself of getting it?
Basically, im 15 and my doctors think i have IBS ( Irritable Bowel Syndrome). They suggested a new diet to help it. So are there any out there?
I have heard doctors helping colon cleansing thorough some medical treatment / surgery. Do you know any way how to cleanse colon with some natural products?
During a routine colonoscopy, a mass in the transverse colon was found and could not be reached to be biopsied. The person doing the colonoscopy stated it appears benign. The surgeon also said it does not look like cancer. A colon resection surgery still needs to be done and a biopsy will take place then.
I’m just wondering how accurate the doctors are when they say a colon mass looks benign based on the appearance alone – no biopsy. I’m concerned because the patient was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer diagnosis 2 1/2 years ago and I’m worried that it might have metastasized to the colon. I guess there is really no point in worrying though because we will find out soon enough.
They did tatoo the mass with India ink during the colonoscopy. They took several pictures and this is what the surgeon based his opinion on in regards to it appearing benign. The mass was a soft circumferential mass in the transverse colon and the colonoscopy report stated it was difficult to biopsy. During the transverse colectomy, they will send a piece of the tumor to pathology to determine on the spot if it is cancer. If it is cancer then they might have to remove more of the colon during the surgery.

Today when I went to the bathroom, my stool was greenish. It almost looked like it had green moss growing on it. Does anybody know if this is a sign of colon cancer? I’ve had other colon cancer symptoms as well lately and I have a doctors appointment scheduled for July 6th.
I’ve never heard of green stool being a symptom of colon cancer, but I am just curious.
My dad was diagnosed in 2005 with stage 3 cancer that had spread to half the lymph nodes in the area. After a resection (no colostomy), radiation and chemo, he held steady for a year. Then, his doctors found it had metastisized to his liver and the sacral tissue between the rectum and sacral vertebrae. He began another round of chemo which was highly effective but too toxic – he had to stop after 3 rounds. He starts back on a reduced dosage on Nov 4th.
My question is this – he is using chemo as a palliative solution at this point. The chemo is shrinking and slowing the growth of the inoperable tumor in the sacral tissue. At some point, he will be in severe pain again. Has anyone had experience with this sort of cancer and are there any palliative treatments available? He is already taking regular doses of morphine. Thank you!
Is there a way to cleanse or at least have MUCH better bowel movements without the use of doctors, special pills and wierd teas?
I mean like any normal foods/drinks or even positions….I ask this because lately I have been having sluggish bowels and constipation, but don’t want to use any medicine/pills/clinical procedures and just stick to a natural way.
No Scanner I didn’t know…what’s wrong with using straight water with an enema
I have:
Bloody Stools
Thin Stools
Diarehha
Constipation
Abdominal pain
Going poop alot
No solid or "regular" stools
I feel like I have to poop all the time, but only a tiny bit comes out or nothing
I’m tired all the time
I have a doctors appointment for this Friday. Personally, I don’t feel these symptoms could be Crohn’s or IBL. What do you guys think?
