I started taking 3 diet pills. one of the is a colon cleanse. the others just support fat loss. But I’ve been on the colon cleanse and its made me feel worse. I had very bad diarrhea, and sometime I have no control over my bowel movements. I have to go at least 6 or 7 times a day. Ive been on it for a week, and i expected to feel better after a few days because ive always had some stomach troubles…what does it mean, if my digestive system has gotten worse?
I have not lost any weight, i stay at the same weight all day, everyday. in fact ive gained weight and look more bloated.
hey just wanted to let you know, i am too on aclai berry and CLA. still nothing
I ate some undercooked beef and I got very bad diarrhea that has still been going after about 2 1/2 days afterwards, I figure that’s the symptom of having one..will this flush out the parasite and any eggs it has laid? Thanks
I’ve been dealing with these weird symptoms: dizziness, foggy brain, discomfort on my right side (ascending colon?), diarrhea (off and on), blood pressure a little elevated since it all started for about a year. It gets worse with my period. It all started with a trip to the ER because I had what they called a vasovagal reaction (very full stomach) and then an anxiety attack. My pulse was 125 at the time. I went to a cardiologist and everything checked out. I went to an internal medicine dr and he did blood work and everything was fine. Went to my gyn, more blood work and all hormones were fine. Had ultrasound and upper endoscopy, all fine. They found my gallbladder wasn’t working right and they took it out in Oct. 07. Last month dx with IBS but the symptoms don’t fit exactly. The symptoms are as I stated above + right sided sensation of my internal organs and tiredness. Now I have a weird taste in my mouth and a sore throat. No acid refux though. Could this really be only anxiety?

I have recently been diagnosed with IBS. My doctor thinks this is why I get nauseated easily, especially when I’m under stress. But someone (a nurse) told me she had IBS for 40 years, and never experienced nausea with it. On IBS websites, it only mentions diarrhea and constipation, and pain, not nausea. What is the truth?
I started using a cleansing product recommended by an herbalist that I get my vitamins from. The first few days all I noticed was increased bowel movements. Now I am sick to my stomach, cramping, diarrhea. Are these possible side affects? I thought maybe just a bug, but we are going on day three of these intermittent symptoms and I have never had a flu bug go that long. Is it possible that these supplements have flushed out the helpful bacteria in my colon? And yes I did stop taking!!!

I have been very prepared to get my first colonoscopy over with this morning. However, I began the mandatory colon cleansing around 6 pm last night and experienced no bowel movement whatsoever. I followed the MoviPrep instructions exactly and absolutely nothing. I poop all the time (diarrhea) and then they tell me to down some heavy duty laxative that tastes like salt and this doesn’t make me go! What the hell is going on?
I know that eating a diet high in fiber helps. But are there any other ways that I can help my symptoms? I don’t necessarily have any trigger foods because I’ll get the stomach cramps/diarrhea regardless of what I eat or whether I eat and everything seems to feel the same. So if you have any tips to deal with it, then please share.
My dad has had colon cancer for maybe 5 years now, the last 5 years through this his health has been up and down and up and down. To make a very long story short he is now at the point where the cancer has spread to his lungs and liver, and can not handle anymore chemo, surgeries, or any treatments. His oncologist says he wants to just keep him "comfortable". Right now my dad seems to be doing and feeling alright. Which is shocking to me because his CEA is 1,300. Four weeks ago it was about 1,075. And and x-ray yesterday showed the leasions on his lungs. His only complication is a cough and some diarrhea. How long can this last? What does a CEA level that is this high really mean?
read a lot online about women experiencing diarrhea before they went into labor. well when i got up this morning and used the bathroom it was soft stool and a lot of it. i haven’t had a bowel movement in about a week and ever since i began pregnancy it had always been the hard balls (lol TMI i know) i was wondering if this is my bodies way of cleansing itself compared to other women who experienced diarrhea? any experiences to share? how long after did you go into labor? i am 39 weeks
Sometimes I’ll be out at the store, and diarrhea spasms hit me. I have had accidents on several occasions. How can I avoid this? Is there some butt-cheek strengthening exercises I can do?
like it’s really sharp and feels like it shoots all the way up there…it lasts for a few seconds then goes away. lol when I get them my eyes bulge out cuz of the sudden pain…is this common, or something serious, like should I be worried about it? I am 14, female, NEVER "did anything". lol so I know how some of you joke about "that stuff"…and I know probably none of you are doctors, but maybe some of you are.
I was in at the doctors this past week because I was having diarrhea and nausea and stuff like once or twice every week, she said I might have IBS (irritable bowel syndrome). but these pains have gone on for many years, and I don’t get them a lot.
hmmm…maybe I should become a doctor…I ask so many health questions on here…
no, it’s not from my job…I don’t have a job…lol…I mentioned earlier that I was 14. I go to school
I ate too much cheese yesterday and now, I can’t seem to get it out. Can someone please tell me how I can change it from this to something easier to get out, like Diarrhea.
I am taking colonlytely at the moment to clear my bowel for a colonoscopy early morning. Yes lots of diarrhea. I was wondering if anyone has done this and how do you know when the bowel is clear enough for the procedure.
I am 21 yrs old and been working out, and occasionally have diarrhea and stomach pains, and could this be early colon cancer, or just my poor diet in foods, bc this few weeks i been drinking lots of pop and greasey foods, and how to stop this, and is it colon cancer?
my seven yr old son is having to go thru an upper gi and small bowel follow thru due to three weeks of sudden stomach cramps and vomiting with sudden trips to the bathroom for diarrhea. how is this done in pediatric patients and how should he feel after wards.
thank you
She has diarrhea, and has had it for a long time. she doesn’t have worms or enzyme insuffiecy. And how can I help her? I’ve already tried rice, chicken, keopectate, different kinds of dog food, and yogurt.
I’ve taken her to the vet alot! and have spent alot in tests and medication. the vet says its probably irritable bowel syndrome and that we should be careful about stressing her out, like don’t get her to excited.
I have been newly diagnosed. Can this condition ever be cured? How do you manage diarrhea- if you suffer from it. Any help and advice would be very welcome.
My son, 2 years old, has been complaining, for about two weeks now, of rectal pain. When asked what it hurts like he says, "it itches like I have to go poopy." It bothers him at all times of the day, but not all day long necessarily.
About a week ago I thought I noticed some blood on his stool, but wasn’t positive, so decided to keep watching. On Saturday, he definitely had blood on his stools and it was on the toilet paper when we wiped as well. I took him to urgent care and the doctor looked at his anus and felt inside. He didn’t feel anything or have any bleeding at the time. He decided to treat him for a yeast infection of the anus. Currently we are applying a mix of anti-itch hydrocortizone cream and Lotrimin (Athlete’s foot cream) three times a day for 5 days.
As of this morning, my son was still having pain and itching. He had a BM last night with no improvement from the day before and complained of pain while passing it. He has also, a few times, grabbed his abdomen and said,
"my body hurts." This has happened just randomly and while urinating. He has never had problems with constipation or abnormally large or hard stools. He has had a few unexplained, long lasting bouts of diarrhea in the past.
Any ideas?? We are supposed to make an appointment to go back if he is not feeling better by Wednesday. I am having a hard time with this diagnosis for some reason…
His stools are a normal texture/color. (not hard, black, tarry…) The blood is typically on the stool at the end of the movement. It is not drops of blood in the toilet, but on the stool. There also has been blood on the paper when we wipe that is bright red in color.
We are going to the doctor this afternoon after another bloody stool this morning. Thanks for all the good answers.
