I need to clean out my colon due to build up of toxins. What is a good safe pill to take to do that?

I just read this book and in it, the guy suggests going to a doctor to get a colon cleansing to help jumpstart your metabolism. Is it dangerous? Does it work? Does it make you feel better? How do they do it? Does it hurt?

I already eat only one or two small meals a day and I exercise every day but I still haven’t lost any weight. I tried those stupid diets and even the colon and green tea diet pill but they did nothing to help me. Someone please help me!

I just saw an advertisement on tv for some pills that are for like a detox/colon cleansing, to cleanse your body. Anyone ever tried something like this? or wanted to? IF so, what are the pros/cons?

My gastroenterologist just prescribed senna to help with my chronic constipation. I read that a side effect is weight loss due to cleansing of colon and less appetite. How much weight will I most likely lose? He has me on it for six months…

I’ll start off with some background info: I am 24 yrs old and had a baby 15 months ago. Prior to having my daughter, I have had my moments where I’ve lost a lot of weight and got to a point where I could run a mile and a half but that’s exactly what they were….moments…for the most part I haven’t really been in the best shape I could be in. Since having my daughter my lifestyle has gotten much more unhealthy. I am up 60 lbs from pre-pregnancy weight (that just jerked a tear out of me) and can’t exercise like I used to be able to. I don’t eat many fruits and veggies and I am classified as "extremely obese." I do a lot of yo-yo exercising (start for a little while then stop for a long while) and to make matters worst, most of my weight is in my mid-section. When I had my last physical (5 years ago) I had borderline cholesterol (that was about 50lbs ago so I wouldn’t be surprised if I tipped the scale by now). I am absolutely sick and tired of this lifestyle and I know that if I continue on this route I probably won’t be around to see my grandchildren. I have decided to become a raw foodist and am in the process of doing all my research before I begin.

So here’s my question: I have very little energy and elimination problems. I know it is because of all the toxins that are in my body due to my poor diet and lack of fiber. They say the average person is walking around with 10-15 lbs of feces in them so I feel that I probably have twice or thrice that amount. I really want to completely detoxify my body and colon before beginning my new diet. I don’t know if I should buy some type of detox program or just start the diet and let it do its job.

Your suggestions are appreciated.

“The first week was a little difficult. We have never drunk so much water before. We kept asking one another about the results but there wasn’t much to report during the first week. Then various forms of ‘creatures’ began appearing in the toilet. We are now on the 30th day and so far each day brought on a new surprise – sometimes smaller and other times quite large ones.

One family member reported the other day, ‘This is very strange! I’m sure I’ve never eaten anything resembling this my whole life. The things I did eat, I always chewed really well. And still, something the size of my hand resembling a rubber glove came out of me.’

Well I remember being shoved full of things during the Holocaust . .maybe it has something to do with string theory . . . Maybe it is entertainment for some people. Maybe theyve already read all the books in all the libraries

This is a serious question: I now its not supposed to smell like roses, but how do you tell someone that their bowels smell like something crawled up them and died (for hours); and that they should look into getting their colon cleansed? It can actually be a serious health problem.

Mercedes, I appreciate your answer but I disagree that eating raw is just a fad. There are people who have been doing it for years and years and its NOT something new. Also, this is not "a diet" for me, this is what I want my diet to be for the rest of my life.
Also, I got down to 160lbs once and during that time I did a detox program and the benefits of it were obvious and undeniable. My acne that I have had all my life cleared up, I had an amazing amount of energy and didn’t feel hungry at all. I just didn’t stick with it and eventually reverted back to my old ways.

I’ve heard of drinks you take while avoiding foods, it supposedly flushes out your intestines and colon. Anybody try anything like this?

I am starting a "diet" (really just eating less and exercising). Would a colon cleanse be beneficial and if so, which one would you recommend?

Okay Im 19 and I weigh 120 but I had a pigged feast the last four days and I been doing this now for every week

I diet one week

and pig out on mcdonalds every day for one week and go back to my diet

I’;m not joking about that btw, I been going to mcdonalds so much

I just feel gross and bloated and I read colon cleanse get rid of everything

and I need a start over

is it safe for me to take

I have been on Suboxone for about 4 months at 8mg. I have been extremely constipated the whole time. When I say constipated, I mean I have a bowel movement every couple weeks. And the only way I have a bowel movement is by taking a laxative and when I take the laxative I take 3 times the dosage. And then I still only have a very small movement. I have gained 10lbs and my eating habilts haven’t changed. So I know the only reason for the weight gain is because I don’t have any movements. I don’t know where all the food I eat is going, but I am very scared. I went to my gastro guy and he gave me a new constipation med and that didn’t even work. I also have taken phospho soda, which is something you take before a colonoscopy to clean out your colon. And that didn’t work. I have sent away for that Dual Action Cleanse you see on TV and I asked my gastro guy about it and he said I could take it if I wanted to. So if anyone knows what I could do about this please let me know.

I’m trying to buy the candida cleanse, colon cleanse and liver cleanse……… but i also want to find diet foods like the bars and things like that….

PLEASE NO SPAM. I DO NOT CARE ABOUT COLON FLUSHING WITH ACAI BERRY!

so, i am a male. 30. i have put on a good 30 pounds overthe last year. i am losing muscle tone in a hurry. my joints are hurting. i eat too much, and its creating some IBS. Any thoughts, on a good way to shed some pounds, get a little ripped, and not spend all day doing it?

the difference between lung cancer and metastasized(secondary) lung cancer, got from colon?

like any type of colon cleaners similar to the master cleanse?

i ordered colonix its a colon cleanse and it cleans your intestines out and your colon has anyone tried a colon cleanse how did you like it and what was your experience like?

If not, what products will assist in cleansing the bowels and colon?
P.S. We all know the fruits, vegetables, and water spill!

I really need a colon cleansing. I can tell because I get sick frequently (first i get mild cramping, then diarreah and then vomiting). What are some natural home remedies that I could use? (note im 10)

i keep seeing success stories about acai, and acai+colon cleanse.
has anyone tried acai and it NOT worked?

Is there a difference other than the time frame involved? This is what I mean, when someone needs to get their colon checked for cancer or polyps or whatever at the doctor’s office, they have to drink this nasty liquid stuff the day before that totally cleans your system out.

Then there is the stuff you can buy over the counter or online. Something like this is what I am referring to….

Why does one take so much longer than the other… is one more effective?

What other factors should someone who is thinking about doing this take into consideration? I have heard of hydro cleansing but that is not an option due to the high cost. So that is why I am not inquiring about that now.

Anyone have any first hand experience with either one of these, even both would be better. Thanks a lot everyone.

I’m in the process of a 14 day colon cleanse and it just started to work on the third day.

I have pretty intense abdominal cramping and gas. I’ve also been producing disgustingly large bowel movements.

I was under the impression the stool would be soft and easy to eliminate.. not massive.

I need some feedback from anyone who has tried this. Does it work well? How did you feel after the cleanse?

im 17, i want to lose weight, but not a lot. Im too lazy to exercise and have no comittment for diets. I read review on Colon Cleanse Pro, do you think I can use it? What are its side effects? I just wan to lose 15 pounds.

I’ve been having some trouble getting these last few lbs off after having a baby 8 months ago. I was breast feeding and that helped a lot but after I stopped about a month ago the weight has just been sitting there.

I’ve heard about the Olive Oil diet which you take a shot of olive oil every morning for breakfast with a piece of fruit and it helps you lose weight. I’m assuming it helps by reducing cravings and hunger.

Does anyone have any information (pros/cons) or experiences with the Olive Oil diet. I want to do something natural.

Also will the Olive Oil help cleanse my body (like a colon cleanse)?

I figured vegetarians and vegans would know more about this than people in the "diet" section.
