I had pain on my right side.Everything was ruled out through various ultrasounds and CT scans along with blood work. Finally, I convinced the Dr. to open me up. I had a laparoscopy and from what I could gather after coming out of anesthesia that I had pockets of fluid on the outside of my ascending colon that he had lanced??? I was in pain for four months before I was relieved-well for a short time. The symptoms are coming back and I don’t know where to start. A gynecologist did the Laparoscopy thinking it was female related and it turned out to be my colon. I am seeing a gastroenterologist now but I would like to have some sort of imaging exam to see what is happening again on the outside of my colon…Does anyone have any ideas..I need help..

can someone explain to me what is the ascending colon. is that the same as large inteting or thats diffrent ..and what does it do for the body. i need as much info. as possible. thank you

I need to find out what dose the acending colon do ? In the large intestine and related illness that the ascending colon may have.

Could sharp pains in ones right side be from problems with the ascending colon?
