i’m 42 years old, and for the last 10 years i’ve been having trouble emptying my bowel, here in the past few years i get some bleeding too.i can never keep clean underwear because i can’t complete my bowel fully. after i use the stool, through the course of the day i can actuall feel some my bowel seeping from my stool to my under shorts. are these symptoms of cancer? i’m very afraid someone please help.

I have IBS for well over 10 years when I was ill in early summer. At first, I thought & feared that I may have colitis again ( I was stricken with it before after having salmonella (food) poisoning from working at Colby College in 1988). I was in agony for nearly 3 months until my personal doctor gave me the correct diagnosis. I still suffer from constipation & occasional diarrhea almost daily Got any ideas?

My elderly mother had her first colonoscopy at 70+ years old. The doctor told her she would not need another one for 10 years. I thought this procedure was like many others that need to be done every other year or so. Does anyone know?
