Anyone under 18 shouldn’t be taking any kind of diet pill (I don’t care if you said don’t write anything if you’ll just say I’m too young, obviously). A healthy diet and regular exercise WILL get the weight off of you. Unless you have some sort of medical condition, I would suggest that’s what you do. And if your doctor said there’s nothing wrong with you, he’s a quack, because you’re severely overweight.
If diet pills worked, then obesity would be a small problem. Some *might* help some small, unnoticeable amount, but they will not make you thin and it will still take time. If you insist on taking diet pills, please research and make sure they have been studied and confirmed safe. Most diet pills have only had small, unregulated testing done by the companies. Just because a company says a pill is safe, doesn’t mean it is. Of course they will say that to make money. No diet pills are considered safe if you are under 18, and may be illegal to take.
If you worked out for a month and didn’t lose anything, then you either 1) didn’t work out hard enough, or 2) didn’t watch your diet properly.
Try again and don’t give up! Since you are that overweight, you should actually lose weight pretty quickly at first, because you can burn calories more easily than someone who is normal or only slightly overweight. If you don’t lose weight in a week or two, then you are doing something wrong.
Exercise can increase the appetite and you might’ve eaten more calories to counteract any calorie burn that may have occurred.
1) Drink plenty of clean water.
2) Do cardio for at least 30 minutes every day.
As soon as you are able, move on to more effective exercise for 45-60 minutes. I like strength training with free weights. Interval training is supposed to be more effective in less time than traditional cardio. Look it up and try it.
3) 1200 calories is the lowest you should count your calories. You may need more since you are developing. Try searching for a safe amount.
4) Cut out all soda, sugar, and candies. Eat only whole grains, veggies, fruit, lean meat, skim milk, and low fat cheese. Make sure you eat plenty of veggies, because they are naturally low in calories and will help fill you up with fiber.
If you can cut out 500 calories a day between diet and exercise, you will lose about 1lb per week. Cut out 1000 calories and you could lose about 2lbs per week. You will probably lose more than that at first. It isn’t as hard as it sounds to cut out 500 calories. You just have to really want it.
Good luck!
could you not try other alternatives before diet pills.. you only mentioned exercise, maybe a healthy eating plan too.. you could join a gym and get proper exercise plan made by a fitness instructor and if you live in the UK you can see a dietician on the NHS. diet pills for a thirteen year old are only really used as a last resort
Sorry but I am going to say you are to young, and I am saying it for the concern of your health.
You are still growing and if you take diet pills you could really mess with your body system.
You could try eating healthy, such as salads and foods that don’t contain as much fat.
I heard that yoga really helps, it is easy and doesn’t require that much energy, just patience and balance.

Also, 17 magazine offers good exercise routines and foods that still taste good but are healthy.

I did intense workouts and i only lost 5 pounds in 3 months.
its pretty dumb but be patient.
but im not gonna lie i think diet pills are dangerous and i think people who take them are cheaters!
most weight loss pills won’t let anyone under 18 take them. sorry.
I am going to write to tell you you are too young because using a diet pill can strip you of what is vital in nutrients that you need for your body. YOU ARE STILL GROWING. You need those nutrients to properly develop. I am going to write this because it can harm you later on, not having the proper nutrients. No one should use diet pills especially not teenagers. I am also going to tell you this because not too much older than you (when I was 15) I was overweight too and I did lose it the safe and healthy way. You want to lose weight? Start running and start eating healthy. No snack foods. Your snack is now carrots and almonds. Your dinner is veggies and lean meat. Your breakfast is Kashi with fat free milk. Your dessert is strawberries. Your lunch is deli meat, light cheese, on light oatmeal bread. You need to eat, you need to get the proper nutrients so don’t under eat because if you do your body will think it is starving and you will eat calories burning muscles instead of fat (I am not kidding….this is why anorexics die of heart failure because their body eats the muscle their heart). But don’t over eat. Use this link to determine how much you need to eat to maintain your weight and drop this only a couple hundred calories (like 300). http://walking.about.com/cs/calories/l/blcalcalc.htm Then use this, sign up it’s free, to calculate caloric intake per day and how much you have lost doing the activities you do. http://www.fitday.com It is a slow and steady process. You need to keep at it to get results. But it makes you feel amazing really quickly and it does work I dropped over 30 pounds. Please don’t use a diet pill it can hurt you. Just exercise and eat right ok? I swear it works as long as you keep at it. That link above, if you sign up, will also tell you about how much calories you have burned per exercise. Try burning 500 calories a day. Good luck!
You are merely 13, but obese. Please don’t take diet-pills. They work, but there are tastier ways for you to lose much of your weight.
For instance, please eat boiled potatoes with salt-and-pepper, and a little bit of ham, for your breakfast. Potatoes do not fatten anybody, unless butters are added on them. A 100 grams of potatoes give you only 90 calories. Between your breakfast and your lunch, please have a maximum of of only one cup of tea ; a grape-juice is the best. It’s better than an apple- or pineapple-juice.
I am not a medical expert, but please do ask your doctor to help you very-quickly, because you are dangerously-fat, at a very-young age. This is very-bad news for you. Please call your doctor, immediately, to start to lose your excessive weights.
Please don’t ever underestimate your potentially-lethal obesity.
Save yourself !
