Rectal Pain Diagnosis?
I have been having pain around my rectal area for the past few days. At first I thought that it might be hemorrhoids that I caught early, as there was nothing protruding from the rectum. So I bought hemorrhoidal suppositories and external creme and have been using it. This morning I felt a lot better, but then as the day went on and I went to work and stood for a long period of time the pain worsened. It feels more like my anal cavity is bruised. I am not sure if it is hemorrhoids, or if it could be something else. I’m sorry if I have given too much information, I don’t want to gross anyone out.
I really appreciate all of your help. I have not had any bleeding. However, doesn’t a rectal exam hurt?

It could be, they could just be internal. You can go to the doctor and have a rectal exam done and they can give you something a bit stronger to help you get through the day
hemorrhoids can be on the inside too:you need to see a Dr so he/she will do a rectal exam on you.
other possibility:anal fissures.can be painful for days and bleed a lot.
You can have hemorrhoids inside too. Have you ever noticed a small amount of blood on the paper after you wipe? Are you constipated? If so, try taking some medication for it and make sure you are drinking plenty of water. If you don’t think this is the cause then you might want to go see your doctor. This sounds like a very uncomfortable pain. Don’t let yourself suffer with it. If it’s not getting significantly better or gets worse, definitely go to the doctor. There is no reason to live in pain like this. And don’t be embarrassed, they are so used to hearing things like this and much worse that it doesn’t even phase them at all so don’t let that stop you from getting help. I hope you get some relied soon.
