Rectal pain and unable to make a bowel movement?
I haven’t been able to make a bowel movement for 3 days, and I’m experiencing some mild pain around the rectum area.
Should I just go get some laxatives or should I see a doctor first? Could laxatives make it worse?
I don’t take painkillers.

Is the pain due to having strained trying to have a bowel movement? If not, then see the doc right away. You need to figure out the source of the pain.
If the pain is because you’ve been trying to go, but can’t…then a mild laxative or stool softener should help you pass what you need to and hopefully the pain will go away in a few days (when whatever was strained has time to heal).
seee a doctor
You should lay off the painkillers
Mild laxative. This is what the doctor will tell you.
After that, make sure you eat properly: fruits, all bran cereals etc.
If this is something that doesn’t happen as a rule then you are likely just constipated so take a mild laxative and if that doesn’t work within 24 hours then absolutely go to the doctor. If you are experiencing this on a regular basis you should make an appointment for a check up.
It’s been three days – try a glycerine suppository or two.
