once a week bowel movements: is a colon cleanse the solution?
Hi. I’m 15 years old and I have a bowel problem. Every time I have to take a #2 it’s usually once every week and they become to big to flush. I did have frequent constipation when I was younger. I am currently taking fiber pills but my once a week bowel movements keep ocurring. I’m thinking of trying a colon cleanse or enema. If all else fails, I’m heading to a gastroantologist.

you could try a colon cleanse… see if it helps. But dear I have to tell you… I can only go once a month, and even just that once is difficult. I havent really found it to be a pain or anything. I look at is as well less time crapping more time doing other things. When I found out I was pregnant I went 3 months without crapping. I didnt notice anything. But if I does bother you. You should try and figure it out. Also try eating alot more fiber foods.

The more wholegrains and cereals like organic brown rice and fresh low sugar fruits like strawberries, pears and watermelon and fresh leafy and green vegies you eat the larger and easier your motions will be ……….. drink more fresh filtered water too to ensure you are properly hydrated and to ease the elimination process…… cut out or right back on caffeine and sodas, pop and soft drinks too as they will dehydrate you terribly and wash out your water soluble B complex of vitamins which are so essential for healthy neural, immune and digestive functioning…….. wholegrains and cereals and leafy and green vegies and lean meats are rich in the B complex of vitamins.

For a fifteen year old the Naabhi(Navel) dislodging can cause constipation. The Navel could dislodged upwards.
Checks: 1. Early in the morning, lying flat on ground, breathe out lift head and leg simultaneously and stay in the Uttanapadasan posture for some time. Repeat process three to four times, and using the three fingers of the hand, someone can check the pulsation at the navels. The location of the dislodged navel can thus be verified. If it has gone up means constipation and gone down means diarrhea.

My brother and daughter had the same frequency of defecation. My daughter didn’t change until after she had children. Why take fiber pllis when there are so many good foods available to you that contain great amounts of fiber. Try eating, everyday a good cereal in the morning. It’s fast and cheaper. If your diet doesn’t change your frequency, at least see a doctor to make sure that you are not hurting your colon.
How is your diet? You shouldn’t need fibre pills if you are eating correctly. In the first instance I recommend you get some slippery elm from the health food store, take a large spoonful in juice and you should see a result in an hour or 2. This is very good for constipation in general and it’s gentle on your system.
The next thing is to look at your diet overall and be prepared to make big changes. A colon cleanse may work temporarily but really you need a good diet-based cleanse such as the liver and bowel cleansing diet. It has been written by a doctor.

You are kind of young to be needing a colon cleanse. Barring anything physical like a blockage caused by cysts or lumps, a colon cleanse would help get things regular again – try "the Ultimate Cleanse" for how gentle it is.
