Well you’ve got the constipation more or less under control, it’s the rash that’ll be the main cause of painm and surely the doctors/pharmacists have a remedy of that? Maybe you just need a second/third opinion.
awww…my two year old went through the same thing….go to the ER…if his butt hurts there is this medicine that they can give you to basically numb it so it wont hurt as much. Also try fiber gummies..he has had a problem with that again after we started to give him those.. and he had a rash too…because he has eczema and it iched so he used to cry about that too…we just go some cream from cvs and it stopped that to
Go to the ER! a friend of mine had similar problems with her son when he was being toilet trained, he actually had BAD constipation, try some liquid laxatives that will make him poop. also if he has a high fiber diet cut some down.
go to a different dr.
I’d take him to the emergency room. Even if it’s something minor, there’s no need to take unnecessary risks.
My daughter had problems passing stools during potty training too. She would cry out in pain at passing one that she had held for a day or two. It was very hard on her but after a week, she was fine. Your son’s case sounds a lot worse. I would definitely go to hospital with him. Better safe than sorry. The rash could be linked to the pains he’s having.
I hope your son gets better soon. All the best.
