is it dangerous to have a colonoscopy while you have a hernia?
I recently had a colonoscopy. I was operated on for a hernia afterwards. Was this dangerous?

It’s probably not too dangerous; however, the air they inject into your colon to inflate it could push the bowel through herniated area. I would have hoped the physician who sent you for the colonoscopy would have checked for this earlier; but, I know mine didn’t.
I have to have a colonoscopy and is worrred because I was just dianose with and hernia. Can having the colonoscopy be more dangerous?
