Is gas pressure and rectal discomfort/pain normal in second trimester?
I am 13 weeks 4 days, just entered my second trimester. Tonight my boyfriend and I were naughty and ate a heavy, greasy, fried, bad for us dinner (which I usually do not do). A little while after wards I had a huge gas bubble that moved from my stomach into my bowels where it just stayed and grew and began to hurt so bad I could hardly walk. I went to the bathroom (pee first) and it seemed to make it worse, then I went to the bathroom again (poo) and it was significantly better, but still slightly present. I’m just curious if this is normal or if it is something to worry about. I feel I worry too much so if I don’t need to worry please let me know! I could use some positivity. Thanks!!

Totally normal. I ate McDonalds ONE time when I was 16 weeks and not to be gross but it did not end well lol! If you usually don’t eat greasy foods, you should try to stay away from them. When Im craving greasy foods I throw stuff on the grill. Make sure you balance it out with veggies and iron is really important if your experiencing "#2" issues now, cus girl, it only gets worse before it gets better!
When you’re pregnant your metabolism slows and your bowels relax in order so the baby can absorb as much nutrients as possible from the food you eat before it passes through your system. I am 22 weeks along and it took me about this long before I figured out a way to eat that would NOT make me bloated and gassy. Yes, bloating and everything you described is another lovely condition of pregnancy and you really do have to be careful what you eat to minimize this discomfort. Also, your uterus is taking up more space in your abdomen so you have less capacity for food, and this will only continue as the baby gets bigger. I’m sure you’ve heard this a million times before but it truly helps — try eating many small meals throughout the day rather than a few big ones. Feel good!
