Is diarhea watery because the water isn’t absorbed?
Ok I know there are 3 parts to the colon (ascending, transverse, and descending) I know that bile is released in the duodenum. I also know that all the water is absored into the colon out of your chyme…so my question is when you diarhea is it due to the water not having been absorbed out of your chyme?
Thanks!

It is because of what diarrhea is. Diarrhea causes the GI motility to be increased and transit time to increase. In simple terms, there is not time for the water to be absorbed. Therefore, it comes in stool as watery. The water which would normally be absorbed and processed through the kidneys instead comes out as fecal matter. This is also why you do not pee as much when you have diarrhea. This can leave you prone to dehydration.
Great answer above. Certainly explained what happens when you get diarrhoea.
You said "my question is when you diarhea is it due to the water not having been absorbed out of your chyme?"
If you are asking whether a person gets the condition BECAUSE you stool is watery (water not being absorbed) then the answer is NO.
You get diarrhoea, which CAUSES water not to be absorbed thus becomes watery. (See the differerence?)
When you lose so much water so quickly that is when you are in danger of becoming dehydrated.
