In order to understand , why ventral ? then imagine that a human is walking on all four limbs like cattle . Then the cavity in which the lungs are located is on the VENTRAL side of the back bone .

sorry I’ve forgotten where is the exact location of the transverse colon because the colon has to many parts..lol
but i would eliminate the epigastric region (stomach), hypogastric (urinary bladder)
i would guess it’s in right hypochondriac..not sure
the lungs is located in the thoracic cavity but that’s not in the choice so choose the ventral cavity..
The transverse colon passes through the D. left lumbar region, and of these choices, the lungs would have to be in the ventral, which encompasses all upper body cavities, including the thoracic cavity, which the lungs are more specifically in.
