I suffer colon disease and when I eat spicy or oily food I get diarrhea. Let me know it’s complete treatment.
It is about twenty seven years I suffer it. I hasten to add I also suffer stomach ache and some doctors told me it is related to your colon disease, however, some others says it is another problem. In my last treatment I used Bladona PB. and for my stomach inflation and injury I used Omeprazol. But my problems haven’ t been repaired completly.

Dietary Modification
* Lactose intolerance is noted in many ulcerative colitis patients. Those with suspicious symptoms should get a lactose breath hydrogen test. If lactose is restricted, calcium may need to be supplemented to avoid bone loss.
* Patients with abdominal cramping or diarrhea should avoid fresh fruits and vegetables, caffeine, carbonated drinks and sorbitol-containing foods.
* Fermentable dietary fiber may be beneficial to maintain remission.
Fats and Oils
* Fish oil. Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), derived from fish oil. This is an Eicosanoid that inhibits leukotriene activity. It is effective as an adjunct therapy. Usual dose is 15-18 capsules a day.
* Short chain fatty acid (butyrate) enema. Results not conclusive.
Antioxidants
The free radical induction theory suggests that the initial cause of ulcerative colitis may be a metabolic defect that allows a build up of chemicals related to hydrogen peroxide beneath the membrane that protects the cells of the intestinal wall from the bacteria inside the intestine, resulting in destruction of the membrane. During remission the membrane is restablished, but may be subject to new damage, resulting in a flare up of the disease. To the extent this may be true, it would be appropriate to take antioxidants, dietary supplements that may support the body’s defenses against oxidants like hydrogen peroxide. Antioxidants include:
* Vitamins A, C and E
* Coenzyme Q10
* Selenium and manganese.
Vitamin B6 and iron may be associated with increased hydrogen peroxide levels, and should not be taken in excess under this theory.
Herbals
* Kampo medicine is used in Japan; Oren-gedoku-to is one such traditional herbal medicine being used both in Japan and China since the Han Dynasty. The traditional Chinese medicine name for this is Huang-Liang-Jie-Du-Tang; its and English name is Coptis Detoxifying Formula.
* Tobacco: There is a lower incidence of ulcerative colitis among people who use tobacco. The nicotine in tobacco acts as an anti-inflammatory drug .
Bacterial Recolonization
* Probiotics may have benefit. One study looked at a probiotic known as VSL-3 has shown promise for people with ulcerative colitis.
* Fecal bacteriotherapy involves the infusion of human probiotics through fecal enemas . It suggests that the cause of ulcerative colitis may be a previous infection by a still unknown pathogen. This initial infection resolves itself naturally, but somehow causes an imbalance in the colonic bacterial flora, leading to a cycle of inflammation which can be broken by "recolonizing" the colon with bacteria from a healthy bowel. There have been several reported cases of patient who have remained in remission for up to 13 years
Right off the bat I have to say Spock has my vote for best answer. He’s also answered in the spirit what I’d like to believe is the whole purpose of these questions and answers and that is to help.
Recently,I find the site being abused with non-sense
And it would be damn near impossible to add much to his obviously well researched or/and knowledgeable information.
Not in any way meaning to be critical, the only problem I saw in his very thorough explaination and advice was it was to much "why" information, (at least for me), and to little under- standable, (plain english), solution.
The only thing I’d like to add is strickly from personal experience.
About 15 years ago over, after a couple of years of terrible stomach, and ultimately colon problems I went for help.
Treatment went on for a couple of years and had me living on pills, anti acids, strickt diets and plenty of office visits, tests and medical bills.
Nothing helped.
A friend, a nurse, suggested that I try someone she knew of that offered treatment on a more natural approach.
Hey, what the hell, at that point I was desperate and willing to try anything. She suggested some things not to unlike those Spock mentioned.
But, what she pressed most was a less crap, much higher, roughage diet.
Lot’s of it. Largely in the form of grains, almost all kinds,prefitably raw, at least three to four tablespoons spooned into meals, cereals etc,etc. Almost any health food store sells very good sources of roughage in high quality made breads.
She suggrested Flax seeds too. One heaping tablespoon in an 8 oz. glass of apple,orange,grapefruit,( any juice) set in your refrigerator overnight and drink the slightly thickened mix the following morning. The benefits are plentiful.
The first few weeks, I actually complained of being bound up. "Drink more water", she told me. "A lot more". So, I did.
One month, that’s about how long it took me to feel human again. With-in three months I believe I could easily have eaten my shoe and digested and passed it effortlessly.
Hopefully you’ll find something that’ll work for you.
Good Luck.
Hey genius, if it GIVES you diarrhea don’t eat it…or just get dysentary I don’t give a flying fuk
SInce you have colon disease, try to avoid spicy food. Eat oatmeal and drink YAKULT. Remember…… NEVER EAT SPICY FOOD. Also, eat food that can easily be digested. Eat also fruits and vegetables. Oh, by the way, try to undergo colonoschophy (is this the right spelling?). So that you will be able to view your own intestines…. a beatiful creation of GOD. Because i already viewed mine.
Spock gave a very thorough answer. I will suggest using traditional medicines or traditional diets. Fasting is also recommended.
