i just bought acai berry detox and colon cleanse?

   They’re both garbage… Acai is a fruit and is not better or worse for you than all the other fad diets over the last couple years: blueberries, macca, flax seed, etc… it’s a fruit – you minus well take banana pills.

   And a colon cleanse? Have fun with that one… Dr. Oz talked about those last week and if you’re eating enough fiber you should never ever need a colon cleanse – AND you won’t spend all night in the bathroom.

   Why not throw those things out, and instead of looking for a quick fix change your eating and lifestyle habits – start exercising and lose weight the natural and healthy way.

   PS – I hope you didn’t buy those Acai pills online because those guys are actually scammers that will start to bill your credit card and force ship you more pills monthly without you requesting them. You won’t be able to contact them to cancel the account, so you’ll have to call your credit card company to have the charges stopped.

   PPS – Pure Acai costs about $90 a bottle for the juice – those pills are often the entire plant ground up and packaged. Only the berry has any sort of nutritional value.

   I was just reading about the exact same thing to be as heathy as possible as many people do out there! I had Colon Cancer and lost my entire Colon and a Rectal Resection also! I went through hell for 20 yrs with IBS also before I got cancer. I still am looking for a better way of taking care of my small intestines so that I do not lose them as well. There is so much dangerous information out there, you just can’t believe everything you read! I am a retired nurse so I know what I am talking about. Due to my surgeries and the organs I have lost, I am having some vitamin deficiencies even with an excellent diet. I hate to say this being a nurse but you have to be your own advocate these days with your body and do NOT except just anything “anyone say’s to do” even a Specialist. I was told by an Gastroenterologist that “flushing a ileostomy is what you need to do” when that could be very dangerous. But in saying that, having a Colonstomy is safe to “flush out with water”. Totally different surgeries and effects! If you are in need of information PLEASE … get in touch with an Enterostomal Nurse through any Hospital or any Gastroenterologist Surgeons office!! I cannot express how important this information can be for your safety. Although the surgeries sound the same they are very different and need different care. Diet is also not to be left out of this subject
