My brother (about 50 at the time) woke up in a pool of blood. The problem was hemorrhoids. The rest of what you’re saying sounds like you need to see a doctor.
Just because you had a negative colonoscopy that does not mean there is not some sort of problem going on here it could be a number of things…… Schedule a doctors appointment today your doctor needs to do more investigating…. Also if you are very concerned and want some sort of medical advice today call an ask a nurse hot line or call an ER room and ask them what you should do… If you are really concerned do not be afraid to go straight to the ER. Good Luck hope you feel better!
I had the same thing.. but it turns out I have Crohns Disease… I pray that you don’t too.. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone..
Here’s an easy answer. get a simple blood test for celiac sprue. it’s a gluten intolerance (wheat allergy) test. you’d be surprised how many people have it without knowing it and have the same symptoms you describe. once you know, and stop eating it, you’ll feel better in about 3 days….then there’s the detox of getting all the crap out of your intestines and having them heal. but it will be much better right away.
It could be ulcerative colitis, or, (hope not) Crohn’s disease. What it really sounds like though is Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) . The stomach bloating is what suggests this to me. I have ulcerative colitis, and stomach bloating is not a problem for me. However, I have a friend and one-time co-worker who was diagnosed with IBD and you sound just like her. You need to see a doctor as soon as possible to get diagnosed. Suggest the possibility of IBD and don’t let the doctor blow you off. Ask to be referred to a specialist – a gastroenterologist. They may try you on certain medications – try and avoid steroids like Presnisone if you can. The side effects make it not worth it. There are other meds you can take.
You must get checked soon, though. You’ll be able to get meds to get rid of the worst of the discomfort and get your life back.
Good luck and bless your heart. Everything will work out, you’ll see.
