I have a colonoscopy Monday, but I ate 3 strawberries last night, will this affect my test?
I have a colonoscopy Monday. 3 days before the procedure I must stop eating nuts, seeds and any kinds of foods with a peel. Yesterday, Friday, I temporarily forgot about this and got a strawberry sundae, which had maybe 3 strawberries in it. I tried calling the doctors office, but it is closed. Does any know if this will mess up the procedure? Should I reschedule?

follow the doctors directions carefully in future i think but not one hundred percent sure when you start having your clear fluid intake and started your premed it should clear out of your system if you are concerned ring the clinic were the procedure is taking place good luck
Incubich, This will not effect your test , you will be given Still to drink and you will be cleaned out, as a matter of fact once you start going I would take reading material and just plan on staying put for a while. Good Luck Rita V
no it wont affect the procedures result. it may affect the visualization of doctors however.
the reason for the diet ordered by the doctor is simply to have a clean bowel without any matter of obstruction during the procedure.
