I get pain and swelling at bottom of right and left rib cage feels like transverse colon, what could it be?

It comes and goes especially this time of year around mid winter. I know there have been changes in this area of my body since at least 2002. And sometimes I get what it feels like a liquid being squeezed up the back of my neck.
