The blood I am seeing is in small amounts and is gone once I’ve comlpeted cleaning myself. I’ve seen this several times but not each time I have a bowel movement. Is this a sign of colon issues? Or is this something minor?

Yes please get checked out…. Could be just Hemorrhoid’s or polyps, or something more serious… You should see a Gastrointerologist, he may want you to have a sygmoid scope or a colonoscopy. This could be the first signs of cancer or something very minor. It is not normal to have any blood when you wipe, unless you had a very hard uncomfortable bowel movement and it cut the delicate tissue. Please get checked out now…
Do you take aspirin or any blood thinners? It could be normal if you do but you still want to see a doc about that. It could be something serious. You’ll have to get a colonscopy.

do you have acute stinging pain in anal area when depositing load within the last several days? If so, probably just anal fissure(s). If its bright red, that’s another sign that’s what it is. A medical person would probably tell you to have it checked out just to be on the safe side. Hint: Start eating large amounts of fiber to soften stool and when stool is sufficiently soft, you can squeeze sphincter while evacuating to turn it into thinner turd that won’t reopen fissure.
Being that it is bright red and small traces, I would think it’s either hemmoroid or more likely, just irritation from wiping. How about using a baby wipe for the next few days – you know, for gentle cleaning. You could feel around the anus while bathing (so everything is clean) and see if you detect any hemmoroids. If so, a little preperation H may do the trick. Any other concerns, see your docotor.
