Depending on your metabolism anywhere from 3 – 12 hours.
haha, no thats not true. That can go right along with the gum myth, where it take 7 years for it to digest. The only thing that is stored from all that bacon is the fat. Bacon will digest in a day.
i heard meat can stay in your system for 36 hours becuase it decays in your stomache. i think your science teacher was trying to scare you or somthin.
bacon, like most foods takes 4 hours (more or less) to pass through the digestive system. some things like chewing gum which are not meant to be eaten can take longer to digest if you swallow it.
3 days and 1 Alka-Seltzer
It definately does not take bacon 3 years to digest. Bacon is protein, and protein is digested by the acid in the stomach. How fast it is digested depends on how much else you eat or drink with it. For example, if you drink a lot of water with it, the water will dilute the acid, causing it to take longer for the bacon to digest. The fuller your stomach is, the faster it pushes food out, and the emptier it is, the longer the food sits in there. sounds a bit backwards but thats how it works. For the bacon to be broken down, and the protein absorbed into your blood stream and the unneeded portion left in your stool probably doesnt take more than one day.
Your science teacher should be fired and never allowed to teach for telling lies like that, even if it was a joke. Had it been a music or English teacher that, would not believe them, so it wouldn’t be serious.
Definitely not true. There is nothing that would take that long to digest!
