Does drinking magnesium citrate actually work to "clean you out"?
I don’t have the money to buy an expensive colon cleanse, but my doctor gave me magnesium citrate to drink because I am so backed up that he says I have about 10 pounds of fecal matter blocking my intestines.
My question is, will this work for someone as severely backed up as me? Or will I have to save up and buy the expensive colon cleanse stuff?

i haven’t been able to poop in a week and the doctor made me drink a whole bottle (10 ounces, i think) of magnesium citrate last night (and then 2 glasses of water) and i’ve been pooping ever since. i was really bloated and still kinda am but i’m slowly having bowel movements. keep in mind, (tmi) it’ll mostly be watery.
Hi all, I tested this brand new supplement from http://zilant.freelightpro.info. They have a risk free trial on currently. What it does, is flush out your insides, there will be as much as 20 pounds in there, and no measure of dieting and working out is about to get rid of it. Give it a go – I did, and melted away 17 pounds LOL!!!
I take the supplement no-explode for working out, and because it has magnesium in it. It is really the only thing that helps me “go” besides maybe a whole pot of coffee. I go on average every 4 to 7 days. If you have the same problem try this, nothing else that the docs have given to me even come close to this. If you feel bloated or just think; damn when is the last time I went, give it a try! Good luck on the John! hehe
Yes! Magnesium is essential for colon health. It is one of our body’s most important electrolytes. It will relax your colon muscles, allowing them to function properly and move waste out. Constipation is a symptom of magnesium deficiency, so are muscle cramps, fatigue, irritability… and more. You will feel amazing after you’re not all blocked up anymore. Keep taking magnesium citrate. The best brand is Natural Calm plus Calcium in Raspberry-Lemon flavor. You can find it in health food stores, also for lower prices online. Remember to take probiotics or eat organic yogurt. If you know your blood type, check out the book Eat Right for Your Type. Being that backed up intestinally is a major symptom and could easily be fixed or otherwise lead to major health problems. Best of luck!!
It absolutely does work. I travel a lot and for some reason that always backs me up. I use milk magnesium and it always gets me going. Happy pooping,
