No they give you diarrhoea.
The colon is self cleansing. There are no pounds of rubbish lying around.
Most colon cleansing products contain a wide array of ingredients, but most contain some form of fibre, as well as an herbal laxative. Consumers who note more frequent bowel movements are convinced that they are "cleansing" their bowels, when they are essentially engaging in a form of holistic laxative abuse.
Colon cleansing can cause vomiting, nausea and abdominal cramps. It can cause a dangerous loss of water and electrolytes, which can lead to dehydration and even abnormal heart rhythms. It can upset the body’s own finely-tuned bacterial balance.
As for hydroxycut read the link. And there is no such thing as a fat burner which they mention in their ads. The only thing that burns fat is exercise.
They do work, they basically clean out the fats and garbage hanging around in your colon and give your gut a chance to absorb nutrients properly…the Hydroxycut one DOES work, but start it the day before you have some time off and the next couple of days stay near a bathroom. haha And don’t wait too long after you feel the urge as the cleanses don’t give you a lot of time to think about whether you realllly need to go to the bathroom. Feel it, GO NOW…lol Don’t do more than one cleanse at a time, once every 4 or 5 months…and drink LOTS of water
Cleanses and detoxes are not FOR weight loss. It’s to clear out your colon of backed up poo. Weight loss is a result of this, depending on how much you’ve got. People may have up to 15lbs or more and not know it. I did an overnight cleanse using sodium phosphate laxative. I lost 2.5lbs which doesn’t sound like much but it WAS in a matter of 12 hours. I was disappointed I didn’t lose more since i thought I would, but now I know I can start my diet and exercise regimine with a clean system.
As far as the pills you take over the course of a week or so, like hydroxycut, they claim to also flush toxins out of your liver, stomach, and kidneys, I believe. It’s the same concept that any weight loss is the result of toxins or water lost.
