Comments on a poem about the weather, sort of?
The earth trembles in a quake
as it coughs to
loosen thick phlem.
The ensuing tidal wave
hits the shore, a
robust sneeze.
Island volcanoes spew forth
burning lava
when the earth can no longer
control its bowels,
ridding itself of
putrid bile.
Heavens open to cleanse and
cure the earth’s ills,
flooding the land
with currents of rain,
washing the streets
and its soul.

Your explanation is better then sciences.
Acts of God compared to bodily functions. Awesomely metaphorical.
Brilliant… Love the metaphors and imagery…
The Earth needs a doctor, too.
Sounds alot like this darn flu I’ve been fighting for the last week. Good poem ma.
I could really debate the concept, but the words did create a striking emotion … so I must admit this is a great poem.
I have never had a volcano…But woke this morning to the usual downpour..
MY DREAM! Where’d you get this video? I thought I had it hid away.
I can’t say enough about this one. You nailed my favorite theme here, but in a totally different way. I’m seeing the Earth (capitalized of course) going through detox. AWESOME.
I think it was Regwah who once said something along the lines of
"We should planet better . . ."
