The symptoms are so similar , how does one diagnose one over the other.
The significance of the two diseases is so different.

Dog is a male weimaraner, 120 lbs. He’s overly large for his breed, plus about 15 lbs. overweight. Vet says to just keep trying to find a food that works, gradually switching him over. I’ve tried Eukanuba, Chicken Soup dog food, Canidae. Nothing works. Any suggestions? I can’t afford, nor do I have time, to cook a special diet for him regularly.

I’m noticing more and more fellow females around me having great bouts of excruciating stomach aches, and being diagnosed with either IBS or Endometriosis, and being prescribed birth pills, peppermint oil pills, etc. All just like me. So I wanted to know if this is a big growing epidemic around other communities…

What are all the possible causes of Irritable Bowel Syndrome?

Is it common with Irritable Bowel syndrome that after being constipated for a few days and finally using the rest room to have bright red blood in the toilet after you go and when you wipe?

I’m really scared right now, my mom who is a nurse said it was just a tear from going to the bathroom and bright red blood is nothing to worry about but dark black blood would be…….

Just curious if other people with IBS have been through this
Its happened before and lasted a day or two but I don’t remember it being this much

I’m 16 and have constant stomach problems. It seems to go through a cycle of intense stomach pain when I eat ANYTHING to long periods of constipation and trouble passing gas. I have family history with both irritable bowel syndrome and celiac disease. I drink a half a gallon of water each day and really have any soda. I just want to know what I have and what I can do.

I need to know about the possible treatments for Irritable bowel syndrome. As much relevant information as possible.
An important note though, I do not have nor believe to have this disease. I am recollecting information for a presentation/homework.

As long as I can remember, I have always seemed to have weird bowel movements. Lately I have been really bloated and constipated then once I would push it out, I would have really runny, mucousy diarrhea. I know that the mucous isn’t good and I should go to the doctor about that, but does it sound like I could have IBS?

I am currently taking Dicetel 3 times a day (pentavarium bromide or something like that), and it doesn’t seem to be helping. I still wake up with pain every morning, and even after just a cup of weak tea (nothing else), I have to go to the bathroom 4-6 times!! Has anyone had any better success with other medications?

i’m having moderate pain for the last two days right under my left rib cage.It feels almost like a injured rib,but I haven’t hurt myself that I know of.

I am a 28 yr old female. I have stomach aches daily, which usually follows diarhhea, and then after I go to the bathroom, I feel better. Now I have set up an appoitment to see a Dr. but do you think he will prescribe a colonscopy…because frankly, I can’t afford that, the hospital said it costs 00. Are there other ways they can test for IBS? Or must there be a colonscopy. I just want to know what I am up for when I go to the Dr. Thanks

My daughter is 2 1/2 years old and has for the last 4 days been unable to go poop. She goes a little , but not normal. She always looks in a great deal of pain when attempting, but can’t push a good one out.

I continue having chronic abdominal pain and feel as if something is burning inside the stomach. It feels steamy inside the stomach. The burning sense is strong. I also had a hernia in the intestine last year and went through surgery. I see stones in stool, but gastro-enterologist ignores it whenever i say stones in stool. Tried every possible medication and remedy, but no relief. What to do?

I have IBS the diarrhea form that has caused me to eat a lot less, and what i do it literally goes through me withing 20 minutes of eating it. The only thing is, I’ve been putting weight on instead of losing weight. Is this normal? Also, could IBS interfere with my menstrual cycle?
