Ok last night i had a nightmare!!
I was at a house with some of my relatives. One of them had cooked a soup. Someone gave me a big bowl full of soup and I started eating it. It was clothes soup. There were pieces of white and red clothes and I was eating those! i could almost taste the flavor of those clothes… so dry like cotton and so dry that it would hurt my teeth..(and as Im writing this my mouth is watering?? wtf??) after finishing the whole soup i started feeling sick very sick.. and i felt like throwing up but i couldnt. My body was trying to throw up but the clothes were stuck in my stomach. I used my fingers, pencils..anything to make myself vomit but i couldnt. Someone told me that i could die of nternal bleeding because my stomach would be lacerated by the pieces of cloth. I went to the hospital and an x-ray showed my bloated intestines! they had to clean my whole intetsines and body.. it was weird. Now i’ve been burping clothes all day?? like a weird taste.. whats wrong?

Okay, this weekend got a little out of hand and I stuffed my face with chips and ate cookie dough with a friend at a sleepover sooooo I don’t have big days like that often, so I think I’m allowed! Hahahah but I want to get back on track, so what’s the best way to clean my intestines and all that stuff without using pills or anything like that? Green tea? I also heard natural honey works, but I’m not sure yet, so what do you think?!

i have just started my AS in biology and just wanted some advice on this question really: do the cells need lots of RER to make many proteins which then travel to the golgi body to be added to carbs/lipids that have been made in SER. and are these modified proteins then enzymes which are obviously needed in the small intestine to digest molecules? thanks x

I do hope someone can answer some of my questions about mostly "handling" the chemo drug my kitty is starting. He has been diagnosed with GI Lymphoma in small intestines. It’s small cell/low grade. He will be on .5ml Chlorambucil (oral liquid) once daily for 4 days every 3 weeks with .5ml (20mg) Prednisolone (oral liquid) once day, every day. He’s also hyperthyroid (on thyroid med) and has stomatitis (was taking small dose Prednisolone for this).

I’ve read so much about Chlorambucil and to make sure you wear gloves while handling not to mention while cleaning out litter boxes. I have 6 other kitties (ages 1 1/2yrs to 14yrs) in the household as well. Another is hyperthyroid too. Others have no health concerns (knock-on-wood).
My questions are:
Is this just a precaution while handling this drug?
Has anyone else gone to the extreme of isolating their chemo kitty from other kitties in the household?
Throw out their litter boxes after he uses it, replace with new ones?
Will my other kitties be "safe" around him and the litter box he uses?
How should I clean a mess (throw-up, pee etc) should he accidently.
Should I be so paranoid with this chemo drug?

I’ve asked many vets and they don’t seem to be concerned that it will affect any of the other kitties and never mentioned having to wear "gloves" while administering. I’m getting really nervous. Any info would be so deeply appreciated.

Our little dashound had been sick for several days. We took him into the vet a week ago, and after several days they had to do exploritory suergery.. They opened him up and found his pancreas to be white and not working. What did they mean when they said it was white? How serious is his problem is it was white? He also had alot of "stuff" in his intestines they had to clean out. He is on IV fluids now and seems like he is getting better… but not able to eat without throwing up. Is it possible to recover and live normal at all? I know he will have to eat low fat and stuff, but I am scared that there is something the vet had not told us.

like if u swallow someone’s cells/DNA from their Saliva, or some wild women and man swallow some sperm cells after giving people head. and all that has going into the stomach,the stomach could probably destroy the cell but not the DNA right? then to the small intestine, but what i really wanted to know is…..can the bloodstream and small intestine absorb cells and dna and sperm cells? and if it happened, it absorbed, there are someone’s DNA/cells in ur body, can ur get like 2 kinds DNA in ur body?

I opened a can and found a long limp strand that looked like intestine, are canned sardines cleaned well if the spine is still intact?

Does anyone else hate when they see little kids drinking caffeinated pop? Don’t parents know that ceffeinated drinks can eat away at your bones and actually create holes in your intestines? I mean Coke can clean rust off of metal–what makes parents think it’s okay to give there kids that stuff? What do you think? Should people have to be a certain age before they should be allowed to have caffeinated drinks? Kinda like alcoholic beverages?

why do i ask, sick and tired of listen to him yak(throw up) in the middle of the night. Then having to get up and clean it up.

I have a theory that if we can inhibit the absorption of sugar (absorbed by fascilitated diffusion), fats, and/or proteins in the small intestine, we could control people’s weights. The stomach would still get its ~15%, while the small intestine would get considerably less than its normal rate.

I thought of this while in physiology class. But it is true, we all like to eat. America could get in shape, eat great (not necessarily heathfully), and people would get rich! Sure, some like to argue that some people in the world are starving. But if we can get it, why not!? It will be produced!! We could eat a half pint of ice cream after eating a nice steak. To wash it down would be some delicious, very full-bodied beer. People would not even have to go crazy, just eat what they like to now..double portions and all. I hate eating 200-250 calories four to five times per day just to maintain a weight of 130 pounds! I can’t even think about a decent serving of ice cream or chocol
And rememer, this would just be really cool because it could surely control obesity. Some people have too much trouble controlling what they eat, but with this people won’t have to worry so much and we wouldn’t have countried full of obesity.

We have a female horse who is about 21-25 years old. Thursday we realized that she was sick, and called the vet who said she had the flu. We gave her medicine as instructed (banamine) and walked her that night, but she was no better on Friday. We took her to the vet Friday afternoon, and the vet determined she had colic instead of the flu. He gave her oil to help her bowels move, but still even by today (Monday) nothing has changed. He has told us that she will either use the bathroom, or something inside her will rupture. He has taken X-rays and said that she is blocked up beyond her colon so doing an enema on her won’t help anything. Her intestines are NOT twisted, and the vet is unable to determine why nothing is passing through. Does anyone know ANYTHING we can do to help relieve her or fix this problem without putting her to sleep. It seems that there has to be another way of cleaning out her system than just using oil as a laxative. PLEASE HELP!
The vet who cares for her treats ONLY large animals like horses. She has been in his care since Friday in a barn where he treats his patients. He put her on IV for the first time this morning, but gave her water with her oil prior to today. Also, our horse exhibits NO pain. She isn’t pawing, biting, or anything like that. She just stands around with her head dropped. She won’t eat or drink. Does this not sound like colic?

I’m trying to clean all the poop out of my intestinal tract. I assumed that I could drink nothing but apple juice for about 3 to 5 days and I would hav no more poop in me. but I’m on day 4 now of drinking nothing but water n apple juice and I’m still having runny diarea. It’s still brown and bits of solid poop in it. There is no giant sized pulp in it, but it’s not like totally clear. Is the tiny amount of pulp in it ( i assume theres microscopic pulp in it) causing me to sstill have poop in me? I’m not doing this for a doctor, im doing it for my own purpose.

It is very painful and it goes on for about 4 hrs then stops. I never really thought much about it but now it happens every two months or so. I’m only 16 if that helps at all

Earlier this morning, I went to the orthodontist, and he put on the elastic bands this time. He said to take them off when cleaning my teeth, and if i’m finding it difficult, eating. One of them already had came off, so I put it back on. As I was eating, I noticed it wasn’t there anymore, and I have searched around my mouth with my tounge. and i’m pretty sure i’ve swallowed it:(. My mum says that now I have done that, the band may strangle my intestines. but the band is really, really, small. will I be okay?

Sorry that this is really long. We just moved into a new place with my cat Bella and she seemed to be doing fine with the move. However a few days ago, she vomited twice.I T was dark and liquidy. She stopped and thought it just a hairball or something. Yesterday, she got outside for like 5 minutes or so, because I was cleaning her litter box outside and she got out and jumped and we had to find her. She stopped vomiting and thought it just a hairball or something. Today she became really lethargic, when she seemed fine yesterday. Usually Bella is super friendly running up to the door meowing when you get home meowing when you get up following you running around the house. Today she just layed in bed and slept even though we were all up and moving. We did take her to the vet and they took xrays. There was something in her intestines that could have been something she swallowed or a hairball(which is possible because she’s been shedding a lot due to the stress of moving.) They gave her fluids and told us to make sure she drank water and to give her hairball medicine 2x a day to see if she could pass it. If not its a 00 surgery. Yeah not pretty considering we are absolutely broke. I don’t know what to do. She won’t drink anything so we give her water from a dropper. We pretty much have to force her hairball medicine down. However she does seem kind of better when I pick her up. At the vet, she cried really loud and now she either doesn’t meow or only once. Do you think she’ll be ok and pass it? I’m really worried because we just can’t afford surgery. This is what I hate about vets. I want to be one, but don’t you think that if someone honestly could not afford the surgery, what are they going to do let her die? That’s horrible. When I’m a vet, if someone can’t afford it, I would do it for free or less if I could. Anyway. Thanks and any advice on getting her to eat, drink, get better would be great.

I picked her up, and turned her over, i found her genitalia part was covered in blood and it looks as if her intestines are coming out? but im not too sure. – I’m really confused.
