Don’t tell me its not healthy b/c I DON’T CARE. I don’t exercise but tell me if this diet is good.

I’ve been taking a teen vitamin which has 100 something cals. I also take 2 kid gummies (they taste so good:)) & they r 15 cals each. I don’t eat breakfest or lunch. My dinner is a bag of popcorn (I know it sounds dumb, but popcorn is healthy & doesn’t have a lot of cals at all & I love popcorn anyway). I’m going to have 1 tbs of olive oil b/c i heard its good for the colon or something, is that true?

I 1st started doing this 2day, If I do it for a week or at least a few days, can i lose a few pounds? Don’t bother telling me that I’m an idiot b/c I kno I probably am but I really wanna lose wieght. So yeah, can i lose 5 pounds?

I just want to know what kind of weight loss aids i can use IN ADDITION to diet and exercise. I know that there is no magic pill and that i wont be losing that much extra… but reallly i dont need to lose that much. Im a 6’0 male that weighs 215. want to get down to like 180. Im eating really well and doing cardio everyday for about an hour, and liftin every so often

I did. I was severely criticized because they thought I was feeding this to my husband and kids. At one time I made a roughed out menu, for myself only, for the week. My husband and children did not eat this menu. I never set tuna salad sandwiches in front of them, not once. They would not have eaten them. My food cost less than theirs. I prepared what they liked within our budget, They ate a healthful, varied diet.. I enjoyed fitting into my clothes. I liked the way I looked. It is beyond rude to tell someone if they would get fat, they would look better, especially if they themselves are ugly as sin, are not pretty nor handsome themselves. I would rather be healthy than pretty. If someone does not like the way I look, they can go where they do not need to look at me I liked the way I looked and felt when I was a normal weight of 135. I never knew of anyone on earth who was forced to get fat, or they tried to force them to because someone did not like the way they looked. What audacity. In my case they were looking for a perfect diet pill, through me, and I weighed five lbs less than she.. My diet, or my menu, never caused anyone problems, ever, not financially, not socially, not in any way.That is it. I do not and will never

The photos of me making horrible faces were one…when I was very pg and not on any sort of diet, and not premenstrual…being harassed endlessly by my husband. The other, I was not pg, same reason. only I had been ankle deep in mud, picking corn, shucking corn, hair strongly, makeup running and he was taking pictures.

My weight is my business. I will not see 137 again. That makes them very happy, I am sure. I will probably never weigh l50 again. That is all that matters to them, that I am grossly obese, feel like crud, and cannot get out and do anything because I do not feel well at all. I am not depressed.

Yes. I always liked style and fashion, pretty clothes….the ideal was not Wal-Mart. I want no new clothes. Nothing looks good. I hate shopping for clothes when I am grossly obese, nothing looks good. Nothing. It is not body dysmorphia. I was a normal wt all my life and I would not marry or date anyone or be friends with anyone who wanted me to be obese, or to stay grossly obese. My weight is my business. I will wear the clothes I have until I die or they wear out, because I am not wasting money on anything but underwear when they look like absolute crud as does my face and the rest of my body. I don’t want to hear it. Keep the criticism and the other to yourself. I value the opinion of people I know and trust, unless asked for. I know I am overweight and not attractive.

My mom recently got through thyroid cancer, and contrary to popular assumption, actually gained quite a bit of weight. Having always been active, this is hurting her lifestyle now that she’s done with chemo and getting back into the swing of things. She’s gone through cancer once (colon) and was able to bounce back into her normal lifestyle pretty fast, so the key problem she’s facing is the weight gain (other problems being controlled with medication). It just puts too much stress on her joints.

Her doctor gave her the okay to go on an 800 calorie (mostly) liquid diet. He explained to her that it would throw her into a state of Ketosis, where the fat would be burned instead of the glucose. However, keeping in mind that she has always been active (although always maybe 5 -10 pounds overweight), he’s saying that he doesnt want her to exercise. Not because she cant. Not because she would hurt herself. But because he doesnt want her to build muscle while she’s losing.

Does that make any sense? Because it doesnt to me. My mom isn’t trying to lose weight for vanity. She doesnt care what the number on the scale says. She wants to be healthy, and I’m concerned the doctor is only worried about getting her the scale number down.

Can anyone explain this train of thinking? I’m not being confrontational, I just legitimately dont understand.

For some reason Ive never quite pooped "right". I always would take a longer while to get it all out. Back before everything described below happened, it would take maybe 20-30 minutes to get everything out and be done. Ill give you a quick history of my poop paterns lately…

A month or so ago I had to poo after everything I ate. Anytime my stomach got some food in it, it would become very upset and I had to poo quickly after, many times being diareha. This went on for 2-3 days. Then after that was gone, it became very hard to poo. I would have to strain to get it out, and after a while it became VERY VERY painful to poop.. every time I had to poo I would expect going through hell again. I had to resort to a laxative for a couple days, and then I increased my fiber diet and began drinking more liquids, but that only helped a little.

Now, I am still eating more fiber and liquids, but I still have to strain when I poo. It doesnt hurt as much as it did before, but it is still a little painful. The poo was green for maybe no more than a week, but recently it is not. Now there is a decent amount of blood when I poo (there was blood a little before, but not enough to be notable or significant). The blood will first come out on end part (or the beginning part? cant tell) of the poop, and then I wipe just to see if the blood will show on the toilet paper and it does (bright red). I wipe a few more times in hopes to "clean up" the blood. The first wipe has a bunch of blood on it… enough to cover a good amount of the toilet paper wad, but not enough to make it dripping with blood or anything. With the second wipe, the blood is mixed with feces. It maybe takes 3-4 more wipes to get all the blood off.

After researching online, my first thought was hemmroids caused by my straining. But I just checked in a mirror (about 20 mins after I pooed) and I didnt spot any blood or veins coming out (though it is a bit hard to see past the hair). So what could it be? I went to WebMD and selected all the "bleeding" options in the rectum section and it gave me 20 results ranging from hemmroids to colon cancer. I dont know which one of these many things it is…. HELP!!

Hi there, I’m going on a trip in a few months and I’m hoping to lose 15-20 pounds before I go. I’m not a bad eater, but I do have a little bit of weight I’d like to shed. I work out daily, yoga and swimming. My doctor suggested before I really start dieting to do a colon cleanse because I don’t go very often (if you know what I mean) But I was wondering if anyone has done a colon cleanse before and how much weight did you lose? I’m only really wondering because I’d like to know how much more pounds I need to shed after the cleanse to reach my goal weight. I did the "10 day master cleanse" last year and seen dramatic results but this year I’m not interested in starving myself. It was just too much for me.

so im 11, im an okay weight but i wanna lose about 30lbs….in about 2-4 months, but healthily

I have heard so many different things. One person tells me to take a fiber supplement. Someone else tells me to try a colon cleanse. Yet someone else tells me that hoodia is the best. Now I am hearing all these things about the Acai berry diet as seen on Oprah with Dr. Oz. Has anyone tried any of these, and if so, which ones worked best for you, and how fast? I have been starting an exercising routine, but the faster I can drop the weight the better. It will keep me motivated!!! I have a lot to go!

The reason I have so much to lose is because I had 2 back to back pregnancies, where I was never able to lose the weight with my first child. I have been trying to diet, but I’m just not losing it fast enough to keep me motivated, at this rate, so the guy who decided to refer to me as a F* pig can rot and has been blocked!!

Does anyone know how harm full/helpful the Master Cleanse is? It’s basically Water, lemon juice, Organic Grade B Maple syrup, and Cayenne pepper or supplements! okay so i have candida. this means if i dont follow a strict diet, i am very very sick. I eat alot of raw salads and fruit. i consume a ridiculous amount of fruit. i know they recommend a size of a deck of cards of meat to eat each day, but with my diet should i eat more since i don’t have dairy or bread? iv been on this for two years. i used to eat tons of meat each day but now i eat very little. is this bad?
oh iv tried going off this diet but every time i do i just get really ill. i am going to try a colon cleanse though

ok ive noticed that my stools have been occationaly pencil thin, accompanied by pebble like stools, this happens probably 2 to 3 times a week. the rest are loose stools of no particular shape, is this colon or rectum/anal cancer or a poor diet? im 14, male, 5 4, 105 lbs, on most days i prolly get about 2 and half to 3 hours of exersise.

My grandfather is currently in 4th stage cancer. He had a tumor removed from his colon last year and now has just acquired Jondus as the cancer has spread to his liver. We fear that he does not have much time left at all.
I just found out about this Budwig Diet yesterday. I have gone over the web site and there seems to be different variations of the diet depending upon the stage of cancer one has.
Can anyone direct me to what set of instructions I should follow? The home portion of this news group, is that enough to get started? Do I need to purchase the Budwig books? Also, my grandfather is currently in India, Chandigarah. Are there any groups there that may be able to help?

K so I am 6 foot tall and 2 inches and weight 225 and am fairly big in the stomach and chest areas. I would like to get down to 200 by the end of August and I just need to know if what I am doing will work.
Power Walk up hill everyday (200 calories) for 30 min
Swim (laps and few workouts) at least 3 times a week
bicep curls (2-4-6-8-10-10-8-6-4-2) 12 pound every other day (Every week increase by 2)
Chest curls (works pecs) (same as above) the problem is that my pectoral muscles are already as big as I want them and so I don’t want to increase them anymore then they are, I just want to loose the fat around it
5 Stomach vacuums (30 sec first 2 weeks then 45, then 60, etc…)
Food I have a big meal between 1000-1500 calories in the morning after my workout and then a 100 calorie protein shake for lunch and dinner and for dinner I add some kind of vegetable and protein.
8-10 bottles of water
Colon cleanser for a month as well
I have already been doing it for a week and I can do the diet this way because it doesn’t have me eating more than once so if I over eat a little for my meal it doesn’t hurt me and then I do not snack because I am not hungry and by keeping busy I am not bored and snack.
Please let me know if you think this will work and healthy I know it is not the best thing a person can do diet wise but it works for me and I am getting all or most of the nutrients I need. Thanks
Also I am a male and I need about 2500 calories a day to maintain my weight with light activity.
Question: Theoretically, I eat 1000 calories for breakfast and theoretically it all turns to fat, which I believe doesn’t happen because I eat after my workout and so my metabolism is high and my body uses that quicker than it can turn to fat. Correct? I know the starvation mode lowers metabolism and turns everything into fat. But if I eat 1500 calories in a day but need like 2000 I am still burning 500 calories a day of fat. And yes I know bicep curls don’t burn fat. Am I correct or do I now know what I am talking about?
OK so I know this isn’t the best way to do this and I know that after I loose the weight I will struggle keeping it off which is why I will start the normal 4 meals a day but here is the deal the reason I am doing this is because it is combating my main problem that when I eat I eat whats on my plate and 1000 calories is not that big of a meal I mean most entres at restaurants exceed 1000 calories. And it isn’t like I am eating crap all I am doing is eating what I would normally have for dinner. For example this morning I had a piece of lasagna, garlic bread, and some salad. Tomorrow I will have chicken, salad, and corn. I always have eaten healthy dinner (which is what I am eating now just in the morning) it was just the other times that I struggles. And it isn’t like I don’t eat all day I have a protein shake for lunch and then for dinner I usually have another shake, turkey or chicken and a fruit or vegetable. As for the starvation mode here is my question.
and it isn’t a protein shake thats just what I call it but its not. Its got most of the vitamins that you hear about and with my balanced meal for the rest of the day there is no reason I shouldn’t get the vitamins I used to get. All I am doing is cutting out the junk I ate with my lunches and the snacks I would have throughout the day the healthy things are staying

I was fine….but decided to try a gluten free diet to see what it’s all about and see if I felt better on it. Well I have been doing it for a week now..and I have now had diahrea twice bad right after eating lunch and very loose stools and pain/burning in the colon/rectum. I am concerned that I should stop this diet. I just ate one 96/4 foreman grilled burger and 2 slices of Udi’s whole wheat with some sauteed onion and within 20 mins I ran to the bathroom. I am seeing a dr on Friday but dont want to keep going with this if its that bad. The one new thing Ive added to the diet is the Udi’s could the bread be the problem. Maybe I need the Gluten….maybe some of this hype about Gluten free is not all that…Please help

i have been changing my diet so it could be constipation but i have been having a bad pain on my lower left side and i found blood in my crap last night but it also hurt…i havent crapped right in a while and i wanna know if its constipation or colon cancer.

I am looking to jump start my dieting and I feel that a colon cleanse would be a good idea to help. I did one several years ago and I felt amazingly well after. What products should I use? There are so many out there I am just not sure!

I just read that Julia from Channel 6News did this diet and she loved it. So I want to try it. The thing is, I’m nursing my son. I got her at 6 months old from a reputable breeder. She was the *runt*. She is a year old now and weighs a big 14 pounds.

The first 2 months we had her she was doing great then we had a bout of Pancreatitis.

That cleared up then Giardia. For the last 3 months the Giardia has come and gone. Got her going on Metronidazole 250 mg twice a day for 2 weeks. Did a re-check. The Giardia was worse. Then we did 3 weeks of Panacur. She was starting to have hard stools (which were so big (!) she screamed when she defecated!). This only lasted about a week with diarrhea in between the harder stools.

Now, once again, she is having explosive diarrhea. When I say explosive I am not kidding.

Got another stool sample to my vet. Will know tomorrow if we are dealing with Giardia again.

My vet is thinking about doing biopsy of her colon. He has already done x-rays of her spine which is perfect.

Anyway, I am now putting her on a bland diet of skinless boiled chicken and white rice. If anyone else has any other suggestions I am wide open.

I have also been all over the internet looking at different things this could be and I am coming up with IBD, Colitis and a bunch of other stuff. Very frustrating.

Yes, I have talked to the breeder and she is says there has been no problems with any of her dogs. She was feeding raw and California Naturals. She also raises chickens and sheep. The property and area was very clean and she does the show dog thing. As far as I could surmise she is a reputable breeder.

I feed Evo Chicken and Turkey. Raw is difficult because I have 9 other dogs.

Em: Great idea. I am getting some super answers. I am going to try several things suggested. She had boiled chicken tonight. I have to get the rice but I think I will try the canned pumpkin, yogurt and even the baby food. Her system just needs a good cleaning. I don’t want to have to *fast* her. my vet is trying to stay clear of any kind of envasive procedure which requires anithesia. (sp). I was a nervous wreck when she was spayed. My daughter was in the surgery room and 3 other techs. She was closely monitored.

Okay 2 things, I started Atkins on Monday, and today I noticed when I drag my fingers across my back or stomach skin drags along with it. I don’t know if this is normal since I’m a pretty large dude. All I have been doing is what I’m supposed to be along with some working out, not much like 6 minutes of step ups 40 push ups/ sit ups, mountain climbers, and jogging in place for 10 minutes. I do that maybe 2 times a day. With a less intense version in the middle of the day. And today I feel bloated, like I’m fatter. Please help?
By the way, please no answers telling me they don’t trust the diet. I’m doing it regardless.
And I asked my doctor weeks ago, they said it should be fine as long as I don’t continue on with it forever because it might lead to colon trouble, so I won’t continue with it. Don’t worry.
