I would like to know if anyone has tried these things & if they had the results that you see advertised everywhere.
I ended up gaining 35 lbs (bringing me to 156) when I was pregnant with my daughter & after giving birth I dropped down to 138 but unfortunately I got on the Mirena Birth control & gained all the weight back in 1 month. For the past 15 months I have tried to loose the weight with no luck & I even switched my birth control. Don’t tell me to go exercise & eat healthy because I already do that. That’s why I am curious if anyone has had results with these things.

For the past 3 weeks I have been dieting and exercising without seeing any results. I understand that change isn’t going to happen over night, but I would atleast appreciate losing a couple pounds. I am 5′ 3", 122 pounds (trying to get to 110) and I have been eating about 850-900 calories a day. I have also been doing the "Insanity Workout" 6 days a week. I do not feel like i am starving myself with the amount of food I am eating, it is all healthy, and loaded with fiber and nutrients. I also haven’t beening having BMs hardly at all. I only go 1-2 times a week and feel bloated and miserable. Even when i take colon cleansers and stool softeners…nothing happens! I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong….HELP!
I know they are used for cleaning out a colon before a colonscopy, but these days people say you can loose weight, or jump start a diet or something like that. Is this true? what have you guys heard?
WITHOUT expensive supplements or special diets? I’ve heard of the benefits of an internal cleanse, such as having twice the energy, a flatter stomach, and a smaller waist. Also, is colon cleansing a scam?
Okay so i’m 19, and ever since i can remember my stools have been what is referred to as "pellet stools" which i thought was normal till i started reading up on it. I’ve heard that pellet stools are a sign of Irritable Bowel Syndrome. About 2 years ago after i went to the bathroom i noticed the water was bloody. I showed my mom and she asked if i had hemorrhoids and i said idk but i noticed after i changed my diet that never happened again. Sometimes i feel bloated and feel like there is a lot of gas in my stomach which read is both a symptom of colon cancer and IBS. Other then that i have no symptoms.
I’m just really scared and after i read up on these things i started think i had colon cancer because i tend to be a hypochondriac. I’m a healtthy weight and have been eating and exercising a lot more the older i get.
My boyfriend and mom have told im just worrying too much but i wanted to know if anyone else had any opinions.
Thank you so much!
Also im pretty OCD about things and am stressed quite often. If this matters lol
What is your experience with acai? does it help you lose weight? if so, how? What about colon cleansing? Thank you.
They just can’t seem to stay on the topic. I ask a specific question and get answers that have no bearing at all on the question. IDIOTS! I want to know how many days it take to flush the solids out of my digestive tract if I go on a liquid diet. I don’t want to know about dieting or what brand of colon cleanser to buy.
My cat is 22 years old he is great health for his age and very active. Indoor/outdoor his whole life. He has lost allot of weight and constantly has diarrhea. He has been tested for numerous things and checked out ok. The vet suggested special food witch I was already giving him, that helps a little. Is there some kind of natural colon cleanser or something to clean his digestive track I can try? or any other suggestions…Thanks
Thanks for the great advise everyone, since several of you were very informative I will put it to vote.
I am 173 lbs. and my body fat % is 31%, BMI: 26. Acai berry and colon cleanse? whats happening? i’m very active and have an ok diet.
I have diverticulitis, whereby the colon becomes inflamed and cause general pain, bloating, constipation and gas. I am on a very particular diet, which I don’t violate, and the usual over-the-counter products for haven’t worked. At least none I’ve found.
Any links or other dircections would be greatly appreciated.

I want a good cleanse for the colon and liver that will kick start my weight loss. I’ve heard of people losing weight on the isogenix cleanse but it’s too expensive. Anyone have success on this one? After the cleanse I plan on following a healthy diet plan.
And did you go 1 week or the whole 2 weeks?
hi yester day i pooped and it looked flat and i searched up and flat (ribbon poop) mean you could have cancer but no one in my family has had it
and i feel embrassed to tell my parents should i go check it out or change my diet
Any other suggestions on how to keep my colon nice and scrubbed?
I’m looking to lose around 10 pounds. I have been eating a low calorie healthy diet along with cardio exercise for an hour 5x a week and weight training/ muscle toning with crunches/ squats.
I started taking the colon cleanse 3000 pills yesterday, here are the ingredients on the label:
Fennel seeds, cascara sagrada, ginger goldenseal, pumpkin seed, buckthome root, licorice root, ruhbarb, citrus pectin, acidophilus, acai, cape aloe, bentonite clay, aloe vera, cayenne pepper, senna, oat bran, prune juice, flax seed oil, gelatin, calcium carbonate, magnesium stearate, and silicon dioxide.
I have been having more bowl movements but no diarrhea or other side effects. I am doing as the label says and taking it for 7days and then stopping.
My question is; is this a good colon cleanse based on ingredients? Will I lose weight? Has anyone ever tried the colon cleanse 3000? if so, how was it?
Thanks
I seen on Rachel Ray show about acai blast and colon cleanse diet does anyone know if it really works? Also I was wondering does anyone know how many of each of these pills you have to take in a day?
i’mthinking of doing it but have heard that there can be some very unpleasant things that can happen. there are products out there that you take for days to weeks. what about diet when you do this. any info would be welcome. only serious answers please.
I know the fad diet lately is a colon cleanse and many acai brand pills, but i got a generic cleanser and the acai x3. Just wanted to see if anyone had any advice before I start taking them!
I only eat chicken and salmon. I boil the chicken in water (no grilling), and the salmon is cooked in the oven.
Will this likely cause colon cancer? I am on a very restricted diet due to food allergies/intolerances.
All I eat is chicken/salmon, rice, brocolli, carrots, bananas, strawbrries, and blueberries.

please i want to be about 121 pounds how long would it take with this diet products and excersizing with diet i need someone who tried it to tell me how it worked thank you
I went to a GI because I was having severe abdominal pains/cramps, unusual bowel movements, severe weight loss (about 30-40 lbs) and a lack of energy. I know that colon cancer runs in my family, but I didn’t think he would go there yet. However, he planned for a colonoscopy/EGD for me and he only found one 13mm polyp, but nothing else that was of note (though he did test me for H. Pylori as well). But I was reading about colon cancer and found that diets high in red meat is a risk factor, and I eat a lot of red meat (I am allergic to fish, shellfish, and poultry). I am scared because ALL the women on my mom’s side of the family going back to my grandmother have had colon cancer (my mom, her sister, and my grandmother – the only females on her side) and my mom also had breast cancer (I don’t know if that effects it.) I am only 23, and have been trying to read about how quickly polyps grow. 13mm would be realtively small right? It was easily removed without difficulty (snared, cauterized, etc.) so I don’t think it was that big of an issue. How quickly do polyps grow? One nurse taking care of me told me that she thought I had Juvinille Polysists (or something like that, but I read about JP and it definately doesn’t seem to fit me at all). So any help is really appreciated. I am worried, but feel like I am just worrying because I am not very educated about cancer. Everyone else in my family was diagnosed after their 50s, so they really can’t give much advice. Only thing my mom said was that luckily they removed it now, because it COULD have become cancerous (if it isn’t now) because overtime the risk of polyps turning cancerous is greater.
So thanks guys, please help set my mind to ease. Waiting for the call from the Dr’s office is really killing me.
Ok so just about every doc visit and even a planned parenthood visit for birth control, I was told I was obese. I’m 24 yrs old, weight 215 at 5’5”. Bmi is like 36 or something. So they gave me the whole talk about the long term affects of having extra weight. So I would like to lose weight. I’m going to buy an elliptical so I can start doing about 30-45min a day and eat healthy. But here’s where the problem comes in.
Me and hubby plan to get pregnant this January (2012) and I’d like to lose some major weight by then so I won’t risk babies life. My mother in law started this 3 day diet she got from webmd.com. She lost 15 lbs from it so far. And said that it’s working for her. I think she recently stopped but didn’t gain back the weight. She’s was like 180 something lbs before she started.
What I wanna know is, should I consider doing this, atleast so I can shave a few lbs before TTC? And to also become more ealthier. Just to lose 20 lbs would make a difference. I’m not looking for magic here. I’m being realistic. I have no health problems now, but docs make it seem like I will. I’m just mainly concerned about baby.
Thanks in advance.
And please don’t tell me to try any pills, any colon cleansers, regular eating habits etc. No spam. I just want real honest people answering. Especially if UR an obese woman like me. ![]()
