A 24-year-old white woman arrived at the emergency room complaining of sharp, left-sided abdominal pain over a 24 to 36 hour period. The pain was initially limited to her left abdomen, which gradually spread to the epigastric area and intensified, particularly while taking deep breaths. Other symptoms included nausea and vomiting. Upon palpation, her abdomen was soft with slight tenderness in the left upper quadrant and epigastrium. She had apparently experienced similar discomforts 6 months prior to admission, but the pain resolved itself after 1 to 2 hours. As a result, she had not sought medical assistance.
An abdominal CT scan was performed 4 hours following admission to rule out pancreatitis and a chest CT scan at 5 and one-half hours to rule out diaphragmatic rupture. While returning to the ER from her CT scans, the decedent appeared to be hyperventilating with shortness of breath and her abdominal pain began radiating to the midsternal region. Seven minutes later, she became unresponsive, apneic, and pulseless. Death was pronounced approximately 40 minutes later, a little more than 6 hours after admission.
The decedent did not have a significant medical history; she did not smoke or drink alcohol and was not pregnant either before or at the time of her death. Neither she nor her mother could recall any previous traumatic or physically strenuous episode at any point that may have elicited the decedent’s discomforts.
Autopsy was performed approximately 5 hours after pronouncement. The decedent’s external examination did not reveal any discernible injuries or other abnormalities.
Internal examination revealed a 4-cm defect of the left hemidiaphragm with smooth edges through which the omentum, severely dilated and fluid-filled stomach, transverse colon, and a portion of the spleen had herniated into the left chest cavity. There was no excess fluid present in either the pleural, pericardial, or peritoneal cavities. Both lungs were edematous and showed scattered anthracosis; the left lung was collapsed. The liver was also mildly congested with severe hepatomegaly. Toxicology revealed only the presence of caffeine.
A friend has cysts forming on his body that are forming at slightly rapid rate, and I have looked up these cysts could be caused by this disease. He has other problems, and I think it’s something more serious than just random cysts and red lesions. side note: checked for HIV, it was negative.
My wife just had one done by her obgyn as part of a physical and it made her scream and she cried due to the "worst pain she had ever felt".

Are there health issues or under the radar problems with it? I am looking for the best way to cleanse my colon that does not harm my body in any way..
My Grandma had a large cancer removed from her ascending colon about a year ago. Several lymph nodes contained cancer also. She had no evidence that it had spread anywhere else – liver , lungs and bones were scanned before the surgery. The oncologist felt that she was too medically fragile to get chemotherapy because she had 2 strokes right after the surgery. Now the cancer has come back in her abdomen. It is in her liver, but also spread all around the abdomen and is producing a lot of fluid. Is there any hope that she can be cured? If not, how long does she have to live? She is 91.

Who else, besides proctologists, specializes in these areas of the body (males)?
I need help on the "Arsenal Gear-Jejunum" room: one of the rooms where Raiden is naked and the Colonel is saying weird stuff. I need to get out of the room and move on to the next rooms without going to the "Arsenal Gear-Ascending Colon" room because once you get in there, you can’t get out, or there’s probably some crawlspace that I can’t see, but anyway please help.
P.S. If you can, can you also explain why the hell is a Japanese woman on the radar when you spend some time in the "Ascending Colon" room?
P.S.S. Warn me also if there are other rooms similar to my situation after that room
40 weeks pregnant and seen the doctor today. Only 1 cm, and had bloody show this am and lots of mucus since then with occasional streaks of brown and red blood. Doctor sent me home after hospital visit. Having lots of pressure periodically tonight and some occasional back back pain and the tightening of abdomen. Just called doctor’s answering service 5 minutes ago. Just wondering if any of you experienced that when you were truly in labor. Did not want to call my doctor but just want to make sure
Is disease caused by some twisted superbeing, or does it exist because nature is a work in progress?
The general rules of evolution and random factors make cancer, miscarriages, and various congenital diseases a simple fact of nature. What do these same things say about a creator being? Some of the idea’s given in here about why we have cells growing out of control (cancer), organs developing in less than sufficient ways (congenital heart disease), and embryo’s developing in ways that do not support life (miscarriage’s) just do not make a bit of sense to me. I simply cannot believe that I have heart disease because some cave man (Adam) messed up. I also cannot accept that my sister lost most of her colon to cancer because an "all loving" creator being caused, or allowed, it to happen. Feel free to explain whatever you believe.
I heard that the average person has anywhere from 5 to 15 pounds of fecal matter build up inside their colon! (YUCK) and that a colon cleansing can get rid of that. Is that true or just junk science?
Also, if a colon cleansing is worth the money, do you have to go to a doctor to get one done or can you buy something at a drug store or health food store and do it yourself?
Thanks for any help and / or advice.
My husband has been checked for Gull Bladder disease, diverticuliits and it isn’t cancer. We have been through CT scans, ultrasounds and stool sample testing. What could it be? I am worried sick, and of course he can’t get into the GI specialist until December.
He is only 32 and otherwise healthy.
has anyone ever had proctalgia fugax?
the pain is only when I sit down and move a lot. It’s been going on for several hours.
It is internal and it feels like sharp shooting pains.
Any idea?
I am 19 years old and I have always had very heavy and painful periods. The pain is in my lower abdomon and lower back. Before I went on the pill I would vomit from the pain and have to leave school. I also made a trip to the emergency room because the pain was so bad. I still get very painful periods but have learned to cope with the pain better. I also get sharp pain that seems to be rectal.
I have also always had pain during intercourse. Nothing I try seems to help.
I am worried that it could be something more serious. Is this normal?
I really don’t want to go to a doctor. I’m close to my period and for 2 days I’ve waken up with this pressure like feeling down there. I don’t understand, it randomly started happening. I’m 17 and close to my period. My mom keeps telling me that she’s had the same thing last for days before, but I’m seriously freaking out over it. Idk if I’m constipated, gassy, or if it’s my period. I have these pains DURING my period but I don’t know :/ I’m really freaked out, can someone tell me what the heck is goin on? Or tell me what to do ? (besides going to the doc?)
I’ve heard it can make you loose some weight and I’m looking for a easy way to loose about 10lbs. I can’t take OTC diet pills because they make me ill and I don’t really over-eat. If anyone has any ideas please help.. THanks
I work with someone who has finally been diagnosed with something…crohn’s. He has always had colon problems & has been through annual colonoscopies….but he doesn’t take very good care of hisself & it tends to put him in the hospital for the night every 5 or 6 months. He is in his mid-20′s. What advice can I share with him?
Since I delivered my baby 5 months ago, I suffered from external hemorrohid but it is gone , still after I have a bowel movement I feel OK for about 15 seconds and then I feel rectal pain for about 5 minutes and then I am OK for the rest of the day , can it be internal Hemorrohid?
I am 30 yrs old and suffering from rectal pain and irritation for the last one week. I visited my doctor yesterday, after a rectal exam, he told me that there is no sign of hemorrhoid or fissures. He suspects that its my prostrate that is causing the problem and he had prescribed Ciprofloxacin and flomax and sent my urine and stool for tests. I am really confused with his prescription, because I don’t have any other symptoms related to prostratitis such as frequent urination, burning sensation etc.. any ideal on this?
I saw it on the internet one day by accident.
It is said to have health advantages in preventing hemorrhoids, constipation, colon polyps, appendicitis, ( to name a few )
How come the health providers never told us about this?
