I apologize if anyone finds any of this disgusting, I just really need help.
I have severe constipation, I have a bowel movement once every 2 weeks and sometimes its been 3 weeks. No matter how much fiber I eat or how healthy I eat, I still can’t go. My doctor told me to take some senna pills and they didn’t work. He prescribed another laxative and that gave me terrible pain and I only had a bowel movement when I took the pills. I can’t really live my life taking pills everyday just to go to the bathroom, its a bit ridiculous.
My doctor is suggesting for me use Citrate of Magnesium so that I can cleanse out my colon and then see if my the reason why I can’t use the bathroom is because my colon is clogged, or if my digestive system is failing.
For anyone who has used Citrate of Magnesium, how long does it take for it to cleanse your colon and how long does it take for it to start working? Also, what is a disposable fleet enema, and how does that work with cleansing the colon?
Thank you in advance.
2 days ago I had a really bad pain above my pubic area. Very sharp pains I have never felt before. I panicked a little making my blood pressure rise and heart rate. I went to the ER but as soon as I got there pain subsided. A chest X ray and stomach to Lower waist X-ray was done. Doctor tells me I am backed up. I felt embarrassed because I didn’t realized the pain was due to that. I was given a prescription magnesium citrate but pharmacy was closed so I bought over the counter Milk of magnesia. I took 4 teaspoons about 2 hours ago and still nothing. The top of my stomach looks bloated but not hard to touch. I have been eating like normal breakfast and dinner. I am worried because I don’t keep track of when I go. I don’t even have the urge to go either, now I am also worried if I eat the more bowels will be backed up. I 42 years old and have never cleansed my system or taken magnesium citrate. I know it’s important to go after every meal but my system is usually 2-3 days. Any advice is helpful since I am so worried. Thanks
I hear noises in my stomach it’s crazy and the thought of colon cancer just gave me a wake up call. My mom used to always tell me to cleanse my system once in a while but never did. I remember having the urge to go at one point before the sharp pain came but the urge just went away. Thanks for the comments very helpful and definitely getting the magnesium citrate.
About eight days ago I started this Tiao He 15-day Cleanse, which is supposed to help clear your system of toxins; everything has been fine, except for when I went to the bathroom today and it smelled like burnt rubber.
I’m mainly just wondering if this could be due to the expulsion of certain bacteria, which might give off a smell like that, or if it’s actually a serious problem.
Today my urine also started to smell really gross; I ate asparagus at dinner time but I peed very shortly after eating it… would it still be possible for it to affect the smell in say, twenty minutes?
Sorry, this is so scatter-brained; here’s basically what I want to know:
- what could cause stool to smell like burnt rubber?
- could this be bad, or is it no big deal?
- could the bad smelling urine and the bad smelling bowel movement be caused by the same thing?
- could the smell just be from weird smelling bacteria that are being expelled from my system?
I know this sounds kinda gross/whatever, but the last couple of weeks I’ve noticed my butthole really itches(off and on). After passing feces this morning I took a shower. In the shower I was cleansing myself and noticed my butthole itched so I tried to wash it with some soap. I felt something coming out of my butt, almost just like a small narrow bubble, it definately felt like something fleshy/something that is supposed to be there…but should probably be internal. I’ve come up with the following reasons for why this is there…and I’m wondering which one/if any of them are right:
1. It is an infection, I should have a doctor see it
2. After a large bowel movement it probably just popped out but should pop back in
3. It’s always been there but I’ve never noticed it
I want to do a detox of my body, and I need some advice….
Also, can you take vitamins and birth control along with the treatments?
To the first two individuals, i can not respond to your answers because i am not a level two. But the answers you provided me don’t help me…
Excited about the benefits of this cleanse but to be honest the weight loss is the greatest perk. I’m confused because my scale jumps around all day. Today there was the biggest jump: 119lbs in the morning (and no, i have not had a bowel movement yet today), and 124.6lbs at 6pm….is it normal to fluxuate so much? I get motivated seeing the numbers move down but 124.6 is only two pounds lighter than from where I started. thanks so much!
I have been having these appr.30 bowel movements…i have been having bad acne…about 2 weeks ago had full body itching…and i think that’s a hemmroid that pokes out and hurts…a don’t have the best diet…someone please help me..i think i need a colon cleansing..or something????

My daughter has put on a little bit of weight recently. So, I put her on the "Cleanse Diet". Everyday, I fill her bottle up with water (hydration), honey (for glucose), lemon (vitamins) and cayenne pepper (irritate bowels). This is all she gets until she drops the extra weight. She’s 6 months old and already 20lbs! So, my question is…is there a diet that can make her lose the weight quicker?
Say you had a symptom of colon cancer maybe 4 years ago, but then 4 years later you feel fine, energetic and still feel good and healthy even after hard days labor, have a good appetite, no nausea or fatigue, etc and still have the same normal weight is it a good chance that you dont really have the cancer? Or would the symptoms actually get worse if you really had the cancer? Reason i ask is because 4 years ago i saw blood in my stool ( which i did go to the doctor and it turns out i have a pilondial cyst which bleeds periodically) I was 18 at the time and now im 22, and even tho i went to the doctor I was still so scared about this, he assured me i was fine, but since im pessimistic it still has been in the back of my mind for the past 4 years that I think about it all the time. Since then iv become obsessed witht he consistancy and frequency of bowel movements etc, and have also become more anxious and nervous ever since. Physically i have no other symptoms and I havent really had anything else aside from occasional gas, etc but nothing persistant. I did a colon cleansing and that seemed to work and increased my bowel frequency. Lately though iv been very nervous and my bowel movements though normal, feel like htey are smaller than usual when i go. Is this cause of my nervousness? Iv been to the doctor and he says its just in my head because i think about it all the time, but i still say that ever since i seen the blood in my stool, even though the pilondial cyst was doing it, I still get worried. Physically i feel fine. I work a physically gruelling job 40 hours a week, sometimes 9 hours a day and i have alot of energy, I eat alot, and my weight has been the same since i can remember, the only thing is that I get extremely anxious and nervous and i still cant seem to stop worrying. I figure that if i really would have had a cancer for this long i might feel sicker , but im still not assure, nothing ever puts me to ease, not even a doctors word.
last sat i took x and went to a rave. the next day (sunday) i was having diarrhea couple times and on monday i was still having diarrhea and the stools were black. sometimes it would be the normal solid brown. on monday night when i went to take a #2 no poo came out but looked like this clear white/yellowish jelly substance. then on tuesday it was hard to poo like i would have to force myself. throughout the day i could here my stomach bubbles when i lay on my bed. sometimes i would also feel this small stings by the right side of my belly button. now today (wed) i took fiber colon cleanse and my poo is normal but its like dark brown/black and i still can hear/feel my stomach bubble and the little stings on the right side of my belly button. is there something wrong? is it a big health issue i need to go check out by my doctor? and how would i tell my doctor what i took because i think he would tell my parents.
It all started around christmas time after 3 days of eating at various houses, i seemed to urinate alot more and felt a slight burning that following week, after awhile i developed a pain in my left lower abdominal region, the doctor suspected diverticulitis, have seen specialist and told him my symptoms, he said i should see a urologist despite adding to my symptoms that my stomach is always rumbling and my stools have become somewhat narrow, the pain has now spread to the lower right side of my pelvic region, it has been almost 2 months of having this mystery illness and am awaiting an ultrasound on march 6, i don’t know what to make of it now, i am thinking it could be my bowels and they need a good cleansing but am afraid that it may make my symptoms worse, they have taken bloodwork and urine tests but nothing has shown up. I would really like some input as to possible causes so i could maybe follow up on it.
Okay, I’ve been reading around and have found a few things saying that meat stays into your intestines for a lot longer than other foods because it is so hard to digest. I have become a vegetarian now for a little over 2 months. About the end of Jan. I started having gas, an upset stomach, cramping and diarrhea. I was told since I was eating for things with fiber in them, and a healthier diet my body was just getting rid of the meat in my system, and cleansing my body. I’m starting to wonder about it now though. I sometimes don’t even feel like I’m about to have a bowel movement, and I do anyways. The movements are not that normal either. They are liquid-like, and have a larger odor that usual.
I don’t know what kinds of foods have a lot of fiber in them to begin with, but even so…is this normal? I mean it has been about two and a half weeks of this. It is not getting any better…I don’t quite understand. Thank you. If you need any other details I’ll be able to give them to you.
I’m taking medication, but I was taking it before starting to become a vegetarian…and it never caused these problems.
Another thing is though, I’ve not really up’d my intake on veggies, maybe more with bananas, but no other fruits really…just not eating quite so much junk, no meat, and cutting back on fattening things.
Well, i bought this cleansing program today and i don’t know if it was ideal to my situation. I suffer from constipation issues and i bought this in hopes that it will clean my bowels. good idea or not? has anyone tried it before or know anything about it? I’m 17 btw
I went to GNC and purchased this blue box that is called the "Complete Body Cleansing Program". its a 7 day program where I take 4 pills that are supposed to promote protein, carb and carb, fat digestion as well as other stuff and a Probiotic Acidphilus mix drink.
The in the PM I take 5 pills for Blood circulation, liver cleanser, kidney and enzyme stuff. oh… and fiber and a prebiotic blend.
But nothing has happened. I have only had a bowel movement once in the last 4 days since I started and it wasnt even a lot. Not at all what I expected. The box does not have any information on what I should be feeling or what I can expect so I dont know if it is working.
I almost thought Id be going to the bathroom more frequently and or that I would at least see the cleansing part in the toilet but nothing. It all looks very normal.
Any suggestions or comments? Should I be seeing more coming out of me?
I’ve been interesting in cleansing my body internally for awhile now. I don’t want to visit any clinics or anything and get that huge tube (LOL) but I am interested in taking some supplements or vitamins. I’ve been reading up on Dr. Natura Colonix and although it’s mainly positive, I also seen a lot of negative reviews. But I want to feel healthier and I don’t want my gas or breath to smell bad. I also remember seeing an infomercial on television about a colon cleansing product that seemed very good at removing a lot of the waste in regular bowel movements (nothing like laxatives though). Does anyone know that product or can recommend anything else?
No. This has nothing to do with diet pills or wanting to be thin. I just heard it’s important to cleanse your body every once in awhile with a cleansing that lasts for a few days and not like, months or anything since that’ll take away your body’s nutrients and moisture.
(Doctors’ answers prefered.)
Is it safe to take liver cleansing supplements and colon cleansing supplements? If so, is there a certain brand you recommend? What exactly is in the supplement that is effective? Is it possible to overdose? I am a 20 yr old female with irregular bowel movements and occational nausea. My stomach is often uncomfortable and bloated (even when I’m not on my period), and I’m wondering if it would help to take colon cleansing supplements. Every now and then, maybe every 2-3 months, I get so nauseous for an hour or so and then I vomit. After I vomit I feel better but I still feel exhausted so I usually go to sleep afterwards. I already exercise, drink plenty of water, and eat healthy, but nothing I do seems to work. My doctor says there is nothing she can do because there is no consistency and there doesn’t seem to be a certain food that triggers it so she can’t diagnose anything. Also, I don’t know if this is relevant but sometimes if I’m hungry I get dizzy. If I dont eat enough I get very fatigued and sometimes dizzy. I’m 5’4" and about 108 lbs. That is a healthy weight for my body type. Just to clarify, I don’t starve myself, I always try to make sure I’ve eaten enough. Thanks
I’ve been taking Colon Cleansing Pills for several days now because my friend suggested that I start cleaning my colon out, since it contains so much "crap" that can turn your body into a toxic mine. Anyway, I’ve taken them since last Friday, becuase the bottle says to take 4 capsules 3 times a day, I can’t scarf that many down so I just take 4 in the evening after dinner, but on Sunday I forgot to take them so I didn’t have a bowel movement on Monday and I took them Monday after dinner and I didn’t have a bowel movement right after I woke up like I normally do, I had one about and hour after I got into work and then 45 minutes after that one; is this normal for colon cleansing pills? Should I stop taking them? I want to clean my colon and become regular again, I eat lots of fiber, but it seems that it doesn’t help much on it’s own.
Thanks,
I’ve heard about colon cleanses, especially the lemonade cleanse, and to be honest, I really do think its true. It’s just that, when I asked my doctor, he said he had never heard of colon cleanses. My parents are skeptical and I’ve been really frustrated that I can’t do anything about it.
I have a really slow bowel movement and when I DO go, I feel like there is still more to pass.
I’ve been drinking prune juice, but that doesn’t really help. Does anyone have any opinions on the Master Cleanse and any suggestions to solve my problem, besides eating more fibre and fruits? =\
Thanks much!
I have a gastroenterologist who recommended me to take Miralax & Suppositories everyday for the next 3-6 months. This will be too harsh on my body. I am a diabetic and I have severe high blood pressure. I have been advised to start on a body cleansing program because the constant fatigue is the main problem. OTC Regimen seems to work for a little while and then I start getting constipated again or I will have to discontinue because I get dehydrated from diarrhea. I have been advised by the gastroenterologist to be on a high fiber diet. I have been advised to eat only fruits and vegetables from the internal medicine physician. No breads, No Sugar, No Salt, No Caffeine. No Fried Foods. No Excuses. I have been advised to start on a vegetarian meal program that is designed for diabetics.
So, I am searching for a high fiber diabetic vegetarian meal program and complete body cleansing program for overall health. I am suppose to eat 6 small meals a day. I have digestive problems so it is hard for me to take multivitamins. I would eat lot of high fiber foods and would get constant bloating and gas discomfort. So, I would need to be on a cleansing program and drink plenty of water only with every meal to eliminate the symptoms.
So, I was told if I could afford it; they would recommend me to start on the DrNatura Colonix Program for the first three months along with the Digestaid and Flora Protect Probiotics for the first three months to start regulating the bowel movements and eliminate the toxins that causes fatigue. It would cost me 3.24 for the three month program but do you think that it would be worth a try?
I have asthma, severe high blood pressure, diabetes, acid reflux disease, and internal hemorrhoids & external hemorrhoids. I have been breaking out in so many rashes lately but they said that the body acid and diabetes may be the cause of this and a body cleansing program and vegetarian diet should eliminate this program within the first two weeks.
It is amazing what the body goes through. I have three children and I would not want them to lose their mother over something that can be avoided. A body cleansing regimen is important for any woman or man and that is why I had to have the colonoscopy. I am searching for a healthy lifestyle and I am not good at staying on a diet program with cleansing out the body first. The body cleansing program is suppose to be a jumpstart towards a healthy lifestyle. It is suppose to take the taste of junk foods away and that is what I need. A program to coach me the right way to maintain a healthy lifestyle and remain on this healthier lifestyle for the rest of my life.

A friend wants to buy the colon cleansing advertised on TV by this sleazy looking guy and woman in a sequened jacket. My fried says they stated John Wayne had ?? pounds of bowel in his colon when he died…. good lord…. any comments?
Could anyone give me simple natural cure for IBS (Irritable bowel syndrome). My worst symptoms are constipation, stomach gas, intestinal bloating. I have taken IBS medication, body cleansing ,Candida cleansing, diet change, etc.., but nothing works. Any recommendation please?
Drinking caraway seed tea has been said makes a lot of fart during bowel.
Nothing scrumbles up to remove deposits than fart.
I was thinking about buying that Colonix detox supplement hopefully cleanse my body(?) cause I have constant bloating and its embarrassing. I also wanted to clean my ‘body’ with something. I already eat healthy and drink lots of water. Advice? I also stopped drinking milk since i’m intolerant to it. I switched to soy milk. I also been having skin problems, marks and dry skin I’m not too sure if that’s because of my stomach. I drink lots of tea too for antioxidants and eat lots of fruits and breads (wheat.)
