I’m supposed to have an upper GI and small bowel series done in two weeks, but my doctor didn’t really explain the procedure to me. Can anyone tell me what these tests involve?

I had a colonoscopy done and the doctor found an erosion in my small bowel (intestine). They biopsied and it came back normal, but I still have to have a capsule endoscopy done to confirm nothing is wrong. My doctor wasn’t too clear about what an erosion could mean and I can’t find much on the internet….does anyone have any insight?

I’ve been feeling bad for about 3 years and just thought, hmmm what if it’s small bowel cancer?
I’ve had some particularly bad problems in the last 8 months but even then, not something too dramatic…

I had bowel reconstruction after the small intestine was removed and the following year my gallbladder was removed with the results of chronic diarrhea,I do not consume fried foods.fresh fruit and vegetables,greasy foods ,juices or sugary foods becausse they have a laxative effect. My fluids are water and lemonade(weak).I try to stick to it as much as possible.

small bowel which means the bowel has died is this something that happens over a long period of time or come on quickly

The blood I am seeing is in small amounts and is gone once I’ve comlpeted cleaning myself. I’ve seen this several times but not each time I have a bowel movement. Is this a sign of colon issues? Or is this something minor?

Is that possible?Or is it that it would make people not be able to both pass gas and also to not be able to have poo’s.

i walk every day and take my oatmeal and eat plenty of fruit. i have no cancer or anything. i have try all laxatives, miralax, faxseed, amitiza, and still no luck. i hardy get any sleep at night. i am in my 60s and never had this problem i just want to know out to clean out my smaller bowel i even try a fleat eniimas no luck . need help

I’m 13, and every now and then after I have bowel movements and I wipe there is a very small amount of almost bright red blood on the wipe. It doesn’t hurt and I’m not dizzy or sleepy. This doesn’t happen every time I wipe though and I haven’t had any previous medical problems. Its just every now and then and I’m just wondering if I have some horrible disease or something.

This is what her doctors are saying could happen. She has Stage 3 ovarian cancer and has had 2 chemos so far but still has the bowel obstruction…should this reverse it? What other options might they do that they are not telling me? She can’t go home like this! Anybody have experience with this?

i was in the hospital for a week and was told that more than likely i have crohn’s because i have inflammation in the small bowel but after that week they had no answers and really don’t want to go any farther. now i need help to help advocate my own treatment and diagnosis. they gave me steroids and they help while i am taking them but when i stop my pain comes back

She seems to have very little awareness of them, making potty training very difficult. And now she has a very painful, bloody diaper rash! She is extremely strong willed so we have considered that maybe it is behavioral. So we’ve backed off on the potty training. She does have a new baby brother but he’s 5 months old and this problem started about a month ago. Nothing has changed significantly in her diet. Any helpful advice would be appreciated!

I have been really sick and took myself to the ER. The ER doc said that the CT scan shows that I have bowel in my small intestines. I cannot find anything online about it. I was wondering if there is another term for it. The ER doc said he did not know what that meant either.

I have had unexplained seizures for years, could a brain or spinal AVM account for this?

With the amount of gas i now have since the operation will this affect the scuba diving ? also any other complications i need to think about ?

Would it be rude or Stupid to ask my surgeon who is about to perform an Ileocecectomy in Feb to also remove a plantar wart on the ball of my foot? I am scheduled to see a Dermatologist but would rather recover from both at the same time?

Would his office laugh at me and run me off? I just met him yesterday and he is a specialist in General Surgery with a very good reputation.

what can a small bowel follow through show that a CT scan cant?

Will I lose weight afterwards?

Will I feel independent after the three day hospital stay? I live alone and enjoy being alone. Any tips? Suggestions?

I have a ten year old ulcerated stricture of the ilieum from crohns disease which does not hurt me but was involved in a horrific flare in Nov. Otherwise I eat everything I want and am painfree.
