Hi Marvin,1 keep a positive attitude, 2 stay away from sugar, 3avoid all white flour products. I had a colon-resection on 9/11/2001 had 6months of chemo 9 months later I was on the operating-table to have a tumor in the liver removed, the cancer had metastasized. was to get the chemo-pump implanted, but I only had one hepatic-artery so they could not connect the pump.
I have my semi-annual check-ups and so far all is well.
Lots of good health to you a friend, John B.
In my opinion (person to person only) I would seek out a secondary medical opinion on the delay of the CT scan. If your PET scan is showing glucose absorbtion and your CEA is climbing, AND considering your colon resection in ’04, it’s best to not wait around. By being proactive on your health issues, you are ultimately ensuring the best benefit to your body regardless of how your physician feels. It’s true that you don’t want to ruffle any feathers, but physicians are paid for services just as with any other business transaction. Most physicians will encourage you to get another opinion and even if they don’t- you’re the one who has to live in your body for the rest of your life.
Good luck & my good thoughts are with you!
If your doctor is unable to answer your questions you should get a second opinion as soon as possible. Good luck to you.
